Chapter fourteen

Y/N's POV

I was waiting for Levi to come out of that tree he was hiding. My hands turned into a fist out of anger, why is he following me for? He has no right to do that, besides he doesn't love me.
Y/N:"This will be the last time I tell you Levi, get out from there!" I raised my voice almost screaming
I heard footprints and finally Levi came out of the tree. He looked at me with his expressionless yet handsome face. I sat back down at the rock waiting for him to speak.
Levi:"Y/N, I need to explain to you what happened five years ago." he said while sitting next to me
Y/N:"There is nothing to talk about, it's obvious you love Petra."
Levi:"I don't love Petra...I love you and only you"
I chuckled at his response and looked at him.
Y/N:"You're pathetic."
Levi:"Want to know what happened that day Erwin called me to his office."
I stared at him for a moment, how could I forget. I was very curious what happened that moment of Erwin and Levi.
Y/N:"Speak, but I don't think anything is going to change."
Levi:"Remember that day I took you to the mountains, well Erwin and Petra followed us all the way over there. They both saw everything, Erwin forced to me choose between you or my role. I wanted to choose you but then I was going to end up at the Military Police. I'm sorry I chose my role over you but I had too. And not only that, Erwin forced to kiss Petra. In reality I never kissed her, she disgusts me. That scene was all planned, he told me that one way or another I had to tell you that I don't love you, which is false. Y/N...please believe me. We can escape together and forget about the Survey Corps and leave to the nearest wall to start a normal life together." 
As Levi was speaking I was speechless, I can't believe Erwin will do such thing. I want to believe Levi but what if he is lying? Why did it took him five years to explain me all this?
Y/N:"Why did you waited five years, Levi."
Levi:"I didn't know how to approach you, I was to scared that you wouldn't listen to me. This past years have been hell, Y/N." he then grabbed my two hands and looked at me.
Y/N:"I still love you but, it's not easy to believe you. It really hurt me seeing that scene, I'm not even sure if you still love me."
Levi:"Y/N, please. Why would I lie about Erwin forcing me to do such disgusting thing. Everything I told you is true, please believe in me." he laid his forehead on top of my knees.
It hurts seeing Levi like this, I do believe him but that pain is still in my heart and mind. I'm just hurting myself too, why can't I just say "yes I believe you" it's hard to say those words.
Y/N:"I need time to think, I don't got an answer for you." I said while standing up.
Levi:"I know it's not easy, but I want you to take your time. Please do think about it, I don't want to lose you."
While he was talking I left the mountains going back to the headquarters. Levi stood there for a moment but then followed me.
Levi:"I'll take you back."
Y/N:"No, do you want to get in trouble again."
Levi:"You're right."
I started to fade away into the darkness. My mind were repeating Levi's words. My love for him is so big, I don't know why I'm playing hard to get. I do want a life with him, a normal life where we are not judged by no one. The headquarters had the lights still on, maybe the squad is still celebrating. Shit, I forgot to ask Levi why he choose me, in front of Erwin. After I arrived at the headquarters I went straight to my room. I was still sharing the room with Sasha. Everyone knew what had happened between me and Levi. I undressed and put my sleeping clothes, I turned off the lamp and laid on my bed. Levi was in my mind, he was always in my mind. I have now made my final decision...
