Druidism

Naruto sat before the Hokage, shifting uncomfortably in the seat as Erilanis stared piercingly at Kakashi and Sarutobi. Saurtobi laced his fingers together after setting down his pipe. "Naruto, Kakashi here has told me you and you're teammates introductions to Team 7-"

"Then why aren't they here, Jiji?" Sarutobi sighed deeply.

"Because while their's were normal, your's wasn't."

Naruto pouted as Erilanis shifted closer to Naruto, feathers puffing up slightly. "But jijiii! What do you mean mine wasn't, 'ttebayo?"

Sarutobi glanced at Kakashi before nodding slowly and turning back to Naruto. "You said you wanted to become a Druid... what exactly is a Druid Naruto? Where did you learn about this... foreign term?"

Erilanis blew a puff of air out, slowly running her beak through Naruto's hair as she tried not to laugh. So that's what this meeting is about.

Naruto glared as he leaned back, raising a hand to run it over Erilanis's feathers, pointedly turning his head away. "What does it matter? I want to be a Druid, so I'm going to be one!"

Sarutobi sighed and shifted, taking his hat off. "Yes Naruto, I know there's no stopping you, but at the very least I'd like to know exactly what my newest genin going to be, and what abilities that entails. How can I make good use of your skills if I don't know them?"

Erilanis snorted lightly, muffling the noise into Naruto's hair. She felt his fingers twitch on her back in amusement, though he kept his face the same.

Naruto huffed softly and squirmed before looking away from Sarutobi. "But I... 'm not supposed to practice anything yet."

Sarutobi narrowed his eyes as he leaned back thoughtfully. "You have a teacher then, Naruto?

Naruto's face lit up as he nodded eagerly, grabbing the edge of his seat as he leaned forward, vibratingin place with excitement. "Yeah, yeah, 'ttebayo! She's teaching me all this really cool stuff about everything, even animals."

Kakashi raised his eyebrows and leaned forward, tilting his head to the side. "Maa, who is this teacher of your's? It sounds like you like her a lot."

Naruto grinned and nodded, looking away from Sarutobi to Kakashi as Erilanis moved to sit on the back of the chair. "Oh yeah! She's even teaching me how to catch and make my own food and what to pack when exploring and all kinds of neat stuff!"

Sarutobi's eyes softened slight, corner of his mouth twitching up into a small smile as he watched Naruto. Kakashi smiled as well, eye crinkling slightly. "It's good that you like having her as a teacher, and that she's teaching you such important things Naruto... but who is she?"

Naruto paused and leaned back, eyebrows furrowing as he thought hard before glancing back at Erilanis. "... she's not a threat, jiji. I promise. Not to me, or my team, or Konoha." He looked up at Sarutobi, eyes blazing with determination.

"She's gonna help me be super strong. You just watch and see."
