Erilanis woke with a yawn and began to stretch to make her limbs limber. The fire had gone out minutes before she woke, proven by the still red coals. She pulled out some rations of snow plums and mint tea, which she ate while walking, armor on as before she had slept.
She had found a road, and started to follow it, hood up to conceal her appearance. Her staff was slung across her back in an easy to access position in case she might happen upon some … ‘trouble’.
After walking for a few hours, she stopped to rest on the side of the road and replenish her strength with some food. She pawed her bags until she found her blackened dragonfin, which she ate hungrily with some kungaloosh she happened to find within her bags.
She sat there content for half an hour, before her sixth sense told her someone was watching her. Not letting her hair rise, as it’s a dead giveaway, she pretend to fall into a light doze. Her breathing pattern remained the same because she was completely relaxed.
She was five centuries old for Elune’s sake. She better be able to hold her own. It was one of the things you learned quickly on Azeroth. The weak died. The strong lived. The cunning prospered and the honest were cherished.
Erilanis supposed it was a hard lesson to learn for some, but learn they did. Be it through death or killing.
Ah. So the mysterious stranger wants to talk.
They had removed themselves from whatever pathetic hiding position they considered safe and had began to approach her. When the stranger was five feet away, her eyes snapped open, straight to the face of…
A young human boy?
The boy seemed startled. He was exclaiming loudly at a mile a second, too fast for her to understand. “Slow down.”
His eyes widened in what looked to be hope. “S-Sorry,” he said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. Erilanis smiled under the hood. He couldn’t be more than a mere child.
“What’s your name, dorei?”
“What’s dorei mean?”
“Child, little one.”
“Well my name is UZUMAKI NARUTO! Believe it!”
Erilanis chuckled. “I do little one.”
“What are you, miss….?”
“My name is Erilanis, and I am a Night Elf, little one.”
“Night Elf?” At this she pulled down her hood. Naruto gasped at the otherworldly beauty before him. She had glowing, GLOWING!, eyes and purple, PURPLE!, skin.
“Why are you out here, little one?” At this he looked down.
“No one likes me at the village… they say I’m a demon…”
Her eyes flashed angrily. She had fought demons, men whose actions made them demons and the Scourge. Yet this cute little child in front of her, was being compared to the most hated things in all of Azeroth? She would not stand for it, not even if he had been a Horde child.
Erilanis stood up. “Well Naruto I suggest you get used to calling me Shan’do, my Thero’shan. I’ll teach of my people and the goddess Elune, so that you may not be blind sighted by those ignorant fools' anger.”
Naruto looked up in awe. Someone who didn’t hate him, and wanted to help him? Only… “What’s Shando and Theroshan?”
Erilanis laughed. “We will have to start with Darnassian I suppose.”
