Nearing.

I looked over at Punz. He was swinging his sword back and forth. We had forest duty, well more like edge of the forest. We had already walked the whole border, each of us had gone separate ways and we met up here. I dropped of Tubbo on my way past the entrance. Now it was Punz and I, sat guarding the woods. I looked at him. "I don't think I can take this anymore." Punz stopped swinging his sword and looked at me. I watched as the sword turned into his trident. His trident was his preferred weapon but Eret didn't feel safe without him using a sword. "Can't take what?" I sighed. "Eret. Everything was all good and fine. Now he's starting to make me hate it here." Punz nodded agreeingly. "I suppose you're right." I looked over at him as he started swinging his trident. "Don't let go or you'll go flying." Punz snickered at my remark. Punz's watch glew up and he turned to me. "You fine with taking the last thirty minutes?" I nodded as he started to walk away. "Where are you going?" "Uhm. Ranboo's kinda freaking out right now. At least that's what the nofification was for." I hummed and watched as he ran away.

It's been about fifteen-ish minutes since Punz left. I'm just standing swinging my scythe. I hear something behind me. I turn slowly, but my eyes are left to see nothing. "Pst." My eyes widened. Who in the hell? "Hello? Who's there?" I could hear a slight grumble from the figure as it stood up. "Hello." I tried not to scream as the person came out of the wooded area. "You're-" "Techno, yeah." What should I do? Run and tell Eret? Tell Phil? Why did Punz have to leave? And GOD DAMN I SHOULD'VE TAKEN MORE PAIN KILLER. "I-uhm..." I backed away slowly. "I'm not here to harm you Wilbur-r. Just to talk." I noticed how he faltered on my name. "Is the other guy here?" My body was still tense. With Techno around, that means Schlatt is somewhere. I noticed Techno shake his head. "Nah. He's not around." I sighed in relief and put my scythe away. Techno dropped his weapons, reassuring me he wouldn't do anything. "So why'd you save me in the woods?" Techno looked at me. "HUh?" I laughed slightly. "The snake, don't you remember?" I saw Techno's eyes widened. "Oh uhm yeah." "You made it loosen around my neck and gave me a glare of sympathy." I watched him to see how'd he react. "I uh-" He cleared his throat. "I guess I felt sorry for you? I don't know." I watched him, as his leg bounced. "Okay, so why'd you come here anyway?" Techno laughed. "Just wanted you to know, I'm not your enemy Wilbur Soot." My eyes widened then narrowed. How'd he know my full name? My body suddenly tensed and Techno could tell. "Oh sorry. Didn't mean to catch you off guard." I sighed and nodded. "It's fine."

 I watched as Techno slowly picked up his weapons. "Well I'll be going now, Wil." I watched as he headed back to the forest. "Wait-!" He turned his head to face me. "What's your real name? I mean like you go by Tech-" He laughed. "Dave. Dave Soot." With those last words he was gone. I was left standing there, eyes wide, hands shaking, and my mouth slightly ajar.

The next morning at breakfast I almost fell asleep in my cereal. I mean he couldn't really be Dave. Right? I was up all night trying to piece things together. It all added up but didn't make sense to me. Phil was talking to Tommy but I couldn't tell what he was saying. "Wilbur?" I looked over at Tommy. "What?" I guess I hadn't noticed both them looking at me. "You alright?" "Hm oh yeah I'm fine." Phil looked at me. "Fine, somethin has been on my mind lately." Phil arced his eyebrow. "Techno visited me on my shift after Punz left to help Ranboo." Tommy widened his eyes at me. "Did you fight him? Did you win? or did he pussy out?" I ignored Tommy and tried to figure out what Phil was doing. He had a smile on his face but I could tell he was deep in thought. "What exactly did he tell you Wil?" I lowered my eyes slightly. "He said a name. A name I haven't heard in many, many years." Phil didn't look surprised at all. Tommy was looking at me funny. I could clearly tell he was confused. I could also tell what he was thinking. He was wondering why he was being ignored and if I did fight Techno. Tommy taped my shoulder. I must've zoned out. "Hm?" "What was the name?" I heard Tommy's foot rapidly yet, lightly hit the floor. It's something he does whenever he's anxious or his anxiety comes flooding in. I looked over to Phil then to Tommy. I sighed. "Dave. Well known as Dave Soot. My twin brother."
