Just a little message:
This is my first fanfic so I hope you enjoy it, if you don't then I can't really change your mind so yeah. If you have not watched the anime yet, I think that you should, as this will have a lot of references from the anime, there may be a few spoilers, this is based off of 'The Promised Neverland'.
Isabella's Diary:
Dear Diary,
In Grace Field there are many rules, but there is one we all must stick with:
Never go beyond the gate.
There have been many stories made up about what is behind the gates, are there other children there, another world, people who are just like us, but I have had a feeling that somewhere beyond these gates, there is a new life, where people live and learn new things, where people are always happy and a lovely world on the outside, but to this day, nobody actually knows what lies beyond that gate.
Everyone loves it here, why would anybody want to leave? Is there even an exit? No what am I thinking, of course there is an exit, that's where those who are shipped off go through right? So, beyond the gates there is another world with loving arms waiting for our arrival, to take us in its loving arms.
How come nobody writes to us? Well, I mean they might be enjoying life so much that they have completely forgotten about us, which is fine, I guess.
But anyways, I want to see what lies back there, I want to be the first to leave the gates without being caught, I want to be the first to explore 'the new world' a new place, but how?
No. I want to stay here, where I am safe with the moms of this orphanage and surrounded with other kids just like me.
One day...just not today.
