Connie pt 2

Today is the day, 17th August.
The day that Connie gets shipped off, by none other than the person who never wanted this.

"Don't worry, I will always remember you guys and write letters everyday! I'm going to miss you" Connie. smiled then her fave changed quickly from a grin to tears streaming down her eyes.

"I don't want to go!" She screamed while hugging Emma closely, not knowing this is the last time she will ever see her.

I can't do this, but I have to, the look on Connie's face is going to scar me for the rest of my life, she's so innocent, yet this is the celebration of her death. Nobody knows that though, everyone thinks she's going to get sent off to a loving new family.
That's just the reality. Nobody wants you, so you just have to deal with it, someday it will get better.
Her ponytails shook to either side as she ran towards me, giving me the biggest hug.
I knew that there had to be a way to save her.
I'm going to do it.

"Connie, follow me to your new "family" I stated while holding my hand out.

She grabbed it slowly, her hands were small and cold, I could tell she was scared, just as scared as I was.

"Goodbye."

  There, I had said it, the one word that ends it all, there's no going back now.
  I'm so sorry.

"Have you bought her?" A figure that was revealed as some strange looking creature asked.

"Yes, she's right he-" I stammered as I looked to my side Connie was gone.

  I looked down and my heart felt as if it was beating in my throat, as I saw that she had died from the shock of this whole event.
  I was terrified.
The demon then walked to her smiling picking her fragile body up, licking their lips they ate one eye.
  The smile grew and disappeared into the distance.
  I looked behind me.

"M-m-mom?" Emma stuttered looking in horror, she saw the whole thing.

"I only came to give Connie her stuffed bear..." She cried.

I didn't blame her, I wanted to cry too, I wanted to hold her and cry so hard, I wanted to tell her everything, that she should run now, while she has the courage, while she's still young.

"Emma, I promise you it's not what it seems, run." I looked her dead in the eyes.

"Run Emma, tell Norman and Ray, you need to get out of here, this farm, one of you are next." I carried
on.

"Ok."
