Chapter 12

Matt let out a yawn as his eyes adjusted to his surroundings. He looked around the room to see that he is in his own room. Matt wasn't about to question it as he looked at his alarm clock on his nightstand. His eyes slowly adjusted to where the red numbers are visible enough for his fatigue to go away

Matt: huh it's 7:15 A.M. So what time does school starts for monsters?

Matt slowly got out of bed and started to get some clothes before going to take a shower. After about a few minutes of a nice shower and brushing his teeth, he put his dirty clothes in the hamper and looked at his room. It was too dirty or too clean.

Matt: I guess I can clean my room for a bit before getting a bowl of cereal.

Matt started to clean his room a bit. Matt was done cleaning his room and made his way to the kitchen to get himself some cereal. He enters the kitchen and grabbed the step ladder to reach the cereal cabinet to see what kind of cereal they got.

Matt: Hmm, let's see here: Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, Kraves, or Pops? Guess I'll take...... Frosted Flakes.

Matt grabbed the Frosted Flakes, got a bowl, and made it to the counter. He made his way to the refrigerator and grab a carton of milk and back to his cereal. He put the cereal into the bowl before pouring in the milk. After that, he walked to the table with his cereal. He then went back into the kitchen to get himself a spoon. When he came back, he saw Asriel at the table with his bowl of cereal.

Matt: hey, that's my cereal.

Asriel just looked at Matt and back at his cereal.

Asriel: I know.

Asriel then walked to Matt and took the spoon out of Matt's hand

Asriel: and I do appreciate that you went to get me a spoon too.

Asriel pat Matt's hair and walked back to Matt's cereal and begin to eat it. Matt let out a soft sigh and rolled his eyes and went back into the kitchen. After some time Matt came back to the dining table and place another bowl of Frosted Flakes on that table and took a seat across from Asriel. Matt and Asriel heard their phones ring from their pockets to see that Toriel has sent them both that same massage:

Toriel: hey boys, I'm letting you both know that I and Asgore are on our way back to the castle.

Asriel just hummed at it while Matt was massaging back.

Human: can't wait to see you

Asriel then chuckled and muttered under his voice.

Asriel: coward

Matt heard this but heard that Toriel massaged back

Toriel: it's so nice that you miss me. I shall let you get back to whatever you were doing.

With that done, Matt ate his cereal as the royal chefs came and got their bowls. After a while, Asriel was at the door waiting for Matt to get his gloves on to cover up his still bandaged hands. The gloves were fingerless leather gloves so the bandages on his fingers look like it was a style to them, he then grabbed his backpack that had a surprise for when something doesn't go right today and shut his room door. When Matt got his backpack on, Asriel just rolled his eyes.

Asriel: got everything or do you need a few more hours?

Matt just shook his head

Asriel: good now come on, I wanna show my whole class that I caught you.

Matt: Alright.

Asriel gets his hoodie from the coat rack and left with Matt close behind him. The snow was still present on the ground but still visible as it was slowly melting in the somewhat cold-ish air. Matt always thought that the weather was weird but then again he can create some ice and snow at any moment if he wanted to. At the castle gate, they notice that another monster was at the gate looking impatient. Once close to the said monster they realized that it was Monster Kid at the gate. The gate opened, indicating that Asriel and Matt were just about to leave. Matt has seen that Monster Kid is wearing the scarf that he gave him when he was over here yesterday.
