Part 16

Ellies POV:

I got up trying not to trip over my own feet and gave him an awkward hug, he smiled as I pulled away.

"hey" he gave Sam a hug and then we all sat down together, we introduced him to Sofia who was trying not to freak out as she was sitting right beside Vinnie Hacker. I rolled my eyes knowing how much she loved him, we never told Sofia exactly who Sam's brother was because we knew that she would freak out. 

"how you been Vin?" Sam asked and he nodded.

"I've been good, what about you guys?"

"we moved to NY and that's it, we love it here" she replied and I nodded.

"you've been real quiet" he nodded toward me.

"yeah, its just weird you know? Like you're dating Nai and she's my best friend"

"so you don't support us? We asked you and you said yes" he balled up his fists.

"Vin calm down you just asked her a question, no need to get so upset" Sam put her hand on his arm and he nodded. 

"hey can I talk to you tonight? I'm sorry about that little freak out but I had dinner plans for the two of us" he said grabbing my hand as we walked out of the cafe.

"of course, but wouldn't Nai be upset?"

"its just dinner" he hesitated. 

"I'll be there, you go hangout with Sam"

"what about you?"

"I got to go do something, see you later" I walked away to go and get some groceries since me and Sam were almost out of food and things.

I was sitting across from Vinnie as we just chatted waiting for our food.

"whats the real reason for taking me out without Sam?" I asked with a finger in my water stirring it.

"I wanted to wait till after dinner, but the truth is me and Nai aren't dating" he sighed and I nearly choked on air.

"so why pretend you were?"

"because Sam had planned this trip out when you guys moved, she told me to wait for you to settle down and then come. me and Nai agreed to pretend to be a couple just for you, I know it was my fault that we broke up but I can't get over you."

"you faked a whole relationship with my best friend just so you could date me again?"

"I don't want it to come acro-" I instantly leaned over the table and kissed him and he smiled into it before kissing back.

"that is why I liked you in the first place, you're incredibly stupid and make me crazy for you"

"so?"

"so lets give us another try" I shrugged while sitting back down and he couldn't stop smiling.
