Part 17

Ellies POV:

As me and Vinnie walked up the stairs to get into my apartment he pinned me against the cold wall and started kissing me. I couldn't stop giggling and he stopped.

"what?" he smiled and I sighed.

"I just didn't expect that to happen right away"

"what do you mean we dated before, that time counts"

"no it doesn't, we broke up and we dated other people"

"really? who'd you date?"

"Will"

"who the hell is that?" he stepped back with his arms to his side.

"my ex from high school, we got back together and dated for about 3 weeks" he stared at me before continuing to walk up the stairs.

"Vinnie you 'dated' Nai!" I yelled chasing after him.

"no we faked dating so I could get back together with you only to find out you were dating some other guy!?" he stopped and faced me.

"you were just as involved with this break up, if you had actually acknowledged my presence maybe we wouldn't be here. maybe I would still be in LA with you and we would be in a happy relationship!" I yelled as I stormed up the stairs.

"maybe it was a mistake doing anything for you! maybe it was a mistake dating you!" his words echoed through the hallway and tears streamed down my face. Once I arrived at our apartment I closed the door and slid down against it with my head in my hands.

"hey, hey!" Sam ran over to me and gave me a hug. "what the fuk happened?"

"your brother" I managed to say.

"what'd he do?" I filled her in on everything and she stared at me when I was done. "where is he?" she stood up and grabbed her jacket as she waited for me to answer.

"last time I talked to him he was in the staircase" she nodded before running out the door. 

I was lying in my bed just re thinking everything that happened and trying to figure out why it triggered him so much. It wasn't like I cheated on him, we had broken up. Just then I heard the door open and Sam was talking quietly with someone.

"you're a bitch you know? you hurt Ellie over jealousy, I'm siding with her on this one"

"of course you are"

"Vinnie what is up your ass?" she snapped. "I invited you to come and see our new apartment and you're being a jerk"

"everything was fine until she had to disagree with me."

"she was right" Sam yelled as she walked past my room.

"I shouldn't have come" he whispered and I walked out of my room. I made eye contact with Vinnie as I walked to get a drink from the fridge.

"I didn't know where you were sorry, were you sleeping?" Vinnie asked and I rolled my eyes.

"man what is up with your moods? one second you actually care and the next you're the worst" I said while leaning against the counter and he looked down at the ground, "Vincent" he stood up and came over to me. 

"look I'm sorry about my mood changes but I've been a mess without you, every single time someone says your name I try so hard not to scream" he put his hand on my cheek and I looked at it and back to him.

"I still don't understand Vinnie" I whispered "if you love me now what changed? me leaving LA and moving on? I did this because it felt like you forgot I existed"

"all those times I was playing video games I always said one more round and they would always convince me to play more. every single time I got off you were busy, trust me okay? I asked every single person in that house where you were and you were always out with Nai or someone else. I fuking love you Ellie and I don't care if you don't feel the same way anymore because I'll always believe that we belong together."

"I can't feel that way anymore Vinnie, I loved you when you barely acknowledged me. all the times that we would see each other I would try and make the best out of those moments, seeing how you acted today changed it all. you got so defensive over me moving on? yeah you were there for me in my darkest moments and you helped me so much, but you'll forever be my ex"

"one more chance please" I removed his hand from my face and he wiped a tear from my face.

"I'm sorry Vin, but its over" as I started to walk into my room the door closed behind me and I saw Vinnie. 

"I'm not letting you get away, one more time?" he asked, I hesitated but nodded. I needed to get Vinnie out of my system so I was giving him one last time.
