Shin's P.O.V

As a Supreme Kai, it's our job to look after the universe. We don't know the feelings of love since we don't have anyone to express them with. Most importantly, we can't love mortals due to them dying in the end and we have to carry the grief of them dying for eternity. Or at least I don't think we can.

I have an undying love for a mortal. Her name is (Y/N). She was a close friend to the saiyan, Goku, so usually when Goku passed by (Y/N) was there with him. Over the time I got to know her and form a bond with her. She was a really likable person and was very open to me so gathering feelings for her was easy.

"Shin? Are you alright, you spaced out again?" I heard (Y/N) ask beside me and my face flushed by how close she was. "Huh? Oh yes I'm alright, just thinking." I respond as I kept my composure. "Has Goku stopped by?" (Y/N) asked while she laid her back on the grass.

"I don't think so. He said that he would stop by to take you back to Earth, but I suppose he's not coming at all." I concluded as I stared down at the (H/C) haired female. "I want to stay here longer." (Y/N) bluntly stated as she stared off into the distance. "You can if you want." I said as I smiled at her.

"Are you sure?" (Y/N) asked as she sat up to meet my face. "Yes of course. You're always welcomed here on the Sacred Land of Kai." I reassured as I felt my heartbeat pick up. "I'm sure Goku won't come, considering he probably forgot." (Y/N) mumbled with a hint of amusement in her voice as she laid back down on her back. "He most likely did. He's quite forgetful after all." I chuckle thinking back to the childlike saiyan.

"Shin," (Y/N) began as she rolled on her stomach to look at me in the eyes. She seemed to change into a serious mood which caught me off guard. "Yes?" I asked a bit hesitant about what she seemed serious about. "Can I rest my head on your lap?" (Y/N) asked innocently, my face immediately flushed with embarrassment.

"W-why would you want to do that?!" I yell as my face was a bright red. "It looks comfortable." (Y/N) bluntly replied as she smiled up at me. "Please Shin, I want to be comfortable." (Y/N) whined as she clamped her hands on my pants. "F-fine!" I gave in as her face beamed with joy.

"Thank you!" (Y/N) exclaimed as she crawled closer to me and planted her face into my thighs. She turned her head a bit to look at me in my eyes before she gave a grateful smile. Her eyes began to close as I instinctively brushed my hand on her head petting her like a cat.

Her breathing slowed and began to get steady, she was asleep. 'She's so cute, just like a cat.' I thought as I smiled down at her. "I wish we could be like this everyday." I mumble as I stare at her lovingly. "Well sure you can." I heard a bright voice say from the side of the tree.

I shot my head to the tree and spotted Goku. "Goku? We figured you weren't coming." I stated as I stared up at him. "I came here to tell (Y/N) something, but she fell asleep." Goku explained as he pointed at the sleeping (Y/N) on my lap. "She fell asleep a bit before you came. Do you want to take her back now?" I asked as I shifted to get ready to give her to him.

"Well actually, I was here to tell her that she would have to stay with you guys longer." Goku explained as he held his usual smile. "Why is that?" I asked curiosity getting the better of me. "I don't know, Bulma just said so." Goku finished before Instant Transmitting away before I can ask more questions.

"I guess you're staying with me for a while." I mumble as I look down at the sleep figure resting on my lap and brushed her hair from her face as she slept. I smile down at her and drifted into sleep soon after.

Time skip

I woke up to my back being pressed against the tree and weight on my lap. I looked down and saw (Y/N) still asleep on my lap, I nudged her shoulder to get her to wake up. Her eyes opened and she turned on her back, her head still in my lap. "I wouldn't mind waking up to this everyday." (Y/N) mumbled as she smiled up at me.
