Cadence's POV

It's been a week since David passed. It's been hard. There have been good days and bad days. We all try to be by each other. We hang out all the time now. Skate made a song out of one of David's. Sammy and Skate made one about David.

We go back and forth from each other's houses. We are never alone.

Today we have decided to go to the lake house for a few days.

"Will.... We are leaving." Sammy says.

"I'm coming."

"Stop acting like a girl." I say.

"You're going to get it this week."

"Yeah? Okay whatever."

We get in our cars.

It was Jack J, Me, and Sammy in mine.

Will and Jack G and Lauren rode in Gilinsky's car.

It's about an hour drive to the lake house.

We make the best of it by listening to some great music.

I sleep for about 15 minutes.

"Laurennnnnnn......"

"Cadennncceeee...."

"Come ride with me."

"I can't. Jack wants me with him."

"Well tell Jack the truth. You're in love with me and not him."

"I can't do that."

"Whatever."

"When are we eating again?"

"WE JUST ATE."

"But I'm hungry again."

"Jack can we stop at McDonalds to get Lauren some food?" I say to Jack.

"Sure babe."

"Were stopping."

"You're the best babe."

"But you won't come ride with us."

"SO...."

"You're a bitch."

"Yeah okay whatever."

We stop and let Lauren eat.

"Why do you eat so much?"

"I swim and so I am burning all those calories so I need to eat."

"Okay then."

She finishes eating and we head back out. We have about 30 more minutes.

I plug my phone up to the car and play ride.

We scream the lyrics.

"FEVERS FUCKING RUNNING FEEL THE HEAT BETWEEN US TWO?" I scream.

"IM GON RIDE IM GON RIDE IM GON RIDE ON YOU BABY ON YOU LADY" Jack yells to me.

"What are you doing?" Sam asks.

"I'm singing bitch."

"Language." He says.

"I don't correct your language so stop correcting mine."

"Fine."

I get a twitter notification.

"@sammywilk: @cadencecaroline Bae can sing..." With the video of me singing."

"@cadencecaroline: @sammywilk betch yess I can. I werk it."

Sammy looks at his phone and smiles.

We get to the lake and I go claim the room I want. I want the room with the window seat. I put all my stuff down and put on my bathing suit. I go to the pool and start to tan.

"Cadence get in..." Will says.

"No I'm tanning now."

"Fine."

Someone picks me up and throws me into the pool.

"WILL.... Why did you do that?"

"Payback betch."

"Oh whatever."

We swim and hang for a while and then we order pizza.

I order 4 pizzas. 2 peperoni and 2 meat lovers.

We eat and then the guys go build a fire.

The girls clean up.

"So how are things with Jack?" Lauren asks.

"Their good I guess."

"Oh. What's wrong?"

"He hasn't really been himself after David. He doesn't talk to me but he will talk all day to Will and everyone else."

"Oh."

"Anyways, how are things with you and Jack?" I ask her.

"There really good. He keeps on and that's all I could ask. He just lost a friend you know?"

"Yeah. Where were you when Dave was in the accident?"

"I was at my dad's. My parents split up and I always go the month after school gets out. When I got the news I flew back out here."

"Ohhh."

"What's up Cadence?"

"ImighthavefeelingsforSammy." I say quickly.

"Oh shit." She says.
