c'est la vie- that's the life, babygirl

[THIRD POV]

The man who had everything gave his everything to a girl who had nothing.

That is how the story started.

But, in every story, there is a reason why they do what they did.

For Kenma? It was quite a mystery.

The man was no stranger to the restaurant, however it had been his first time sitting and eating at the restaurant.

His first and his last, as that same night, he burned down that restaurant.

When his eyes rested upon the simple pianist, the girl who had nothing but still gave her everything, he knew that what he was seeing was the truth, the gift from life that his dear friend promised him.

It was something special, Kenma never felt his heart beat so fast like that. Sure, he has had a girl from time to time, but it wasn't at all like that with (Y/N).

Maybe it was because she was a gift from his dear friend, the promise of his happiness.

Maybe not, who knows?

Kenma had hurt his lover, lying to her to protect her. He wished he would have never resorted to it, but it had to be done, for her emotions played a large role into his plans.

Many people would probably be conflicted from this- Kenma does not care for (Y/N) at all?

That just isn't true, Kenma thinks of (Y/N) all the time.

He knows how (Y/N) will react, and he implements that into his predictions- if he killed someone right then and there in front of her, how would she react?

Would she jump in front of the victims as Kenma cocked the gun at them, would she not hesitate to pause her life forever?

Those were the questions that revolved around his mind, he was yet to find out what she would do. Already, he was shocked to see that (Y/N) was not a light drinker, she could handle her alcohol well despite her gentle approach.

But in the end, he had to be careful, for (Y/N) was this rarity he would not like to lose.

He sighed deeply into the palms of his hands, he had one plan in his mind that would be carried after this. It was because he hurt her that he could advance forward.
