hello baby, it's me... your love

[THIRD POV]

To say Kenma was heartbroken was an understatement.

He stood there in the corner of the room, watching doctors and nurses surround (Y/N) with questions. He watched them carefully, making sure they weren't doing any funny business.

Kenma bit his finger nails to the point where they were bleeding. Akaashi made him bandage them up with the help of Tsukishima, but the four of them stayed in the background as the doctors spoke with (Y/N).

"What is your name?"

"(L/N)... (F/N)..."

"Can you tell us your birthday?"

"(MM/DD/YEAR)..."

"Do you know where you are right now?"

(Y/N) looked around, her eyes landing on the four men who were backed off to the side. Her eyes then glanced to the lights, the structure of the room, and she shook her head.

"A room." is all she said.

The doctor nodded, it wasn't like she was incorrect, but she didn't understand her whereabouts.

That was dangerous.

"I'm going to need Doctor Shirasu to get on this case," the doctor said to the nurse, "Please get him here as soon as possible."

"Yes sir."

All of the doctors and nurses leave the room, all but one who stayed back and talked to the four gang members.

"Ms. (L/N)'s condition is very rare to find," the doctor told them, "Her memory loss was predicted, but we didn't expect it to be this bad."

Kenma's heart sank to the depth of the ocean. It didn't even reach the ocean floor, it just kept falling and falling.

"The bullet was lodged in her brain, most strikingly in the temporal lobe of the cranium."

Bokuto sighed; Akaashi patted his shoulder.

"In other words, the bullet hit the place where her memories were stored, created, transferred- anything that had to do with her memories was destroyed essentially."

"But she could still remember her name, she could still remember to speak English." Tsukishimia said.

"That is what... strikes me the most," the doctor said to them, "Usually the person would have no sort of recognition to even remember how to speak..."
