𝐈 𝐀𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐏𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐔𝐏 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐃, slightly shaken up by the gradual tapping on the window next to me. Looking at the window, my eyes landed upon the figure standing outside of it, looking in and glaring straight at me. I groaned with a raspy voice and slinked out of my bed, walking over to the window. I opened it and let in the boy that had disrupted my very limited sleep.

"Yo, what the fuck? You're early," I whispered, being cautious of the fact that my parents were currently sleeping.

"Yeah well, I got impatient and bored," Rintarou responded blatantly, plopping down on my still-warm bed, already seemingly comfortable with my own place. I frowned at him, bothered by the fact that I could have slept a bit more before we went out on another nightly venture.

"Alright, gimme a minute, I gotta get ready," I grumbled, rubbing my eyes a bit to try and clear up my blurry vision while scrambling around to gather my things.

. . .

We both got on our skateboards and started cruising down the pavement with no specific location in mind, the moonlight and twinkling stars lighting our way,

"Where are we going?" Rintarou questioned, after a short moment of comfortable silence.

"You can pick. I'm too goddamn tired to think right now," I replied, stifling a yawn. Rintarou hasn't picked any of the places we've gone to, so why not let him pick now?

"Bet your ass is thinking about how you should've stayed in bed sleeping. Let it be known, sleep is for the weak," He teased, his skateboard swerving dangerously close to mine. This bitch- he can read me too easily.

"Shut the fuck up," I grumbled, going off to the side a bit to avoid falling off.

He laughed at my response then abruptly went silent, as if something just came across his mind. His somewhat gleeful expression died down and was replaced by his usual blank stare. To the unkeen eye, it would seem like he was just uninterested and out of it, but knowing him he was deep in thought about something. "Let's go to the diner,"

Heh, the diner. That specific location had a lot of memories for the two of us. When we were kids, we constantly went there with our two families. We, of course, were forced to go, but nonetheless, it helped grow the friendship we have today. From coloring outside the lines of the black and white pictures on the back of the paper menus designated for kids together to laughing and giggling for hours over stupid things the twins were up to at the time, the diner started growing on the both of us. It was one of the last places we visited before we had lost contact. I was glad he didn't forget.

"Munchies?" I questioned while keeping my gaze ahead of me.

"Yeah, I got the munchies, got a problem with that?" I saw him glance at me from the corner of my eye, watching me for any signs of my teasing.

I shook my head, sparing a glance at the brunette next to me. I then looked up at the hazy, dark, jewel-scattered sky and smiled. "Nah man, I got the munchies too,"
