The Warblers all eventually trailed in, looking shocked by Marina and Hunter sitting side-by-side, frowning. Unsurprisingly, Sebastian, Thad, Nick, Jeff, and Trent were last to enter. They paused in the doorway, looking to Marina with surprised eyes. "Reenie?" Sebastian asked in confusion whilst Thad pulled him to sit down, Nick, Jeff, and Trent following.
The girl stood. "I, Marina Fowler, Cheerio, National Show Choir Champion, and niece of Edward Dalton, have been kicked from the New Directions of William McKinley High School. Thanks to my wonderful uncle, I'm co-captaining the Warblers, with who I thought it was Sebastian." She paused, gesturing for Hunter to stand. "Unfortunately, this is the new captain, Hunter Clarington." She spat the name as if it were a disease.
"Why would he make you two captains? A girl and a newbie?" A boy snobbily asked. Multiple people glared at him in response, specifically Sebastian, Thad, Trent, Nick, and Jeff. It was weird to see all five of them glaring.
She and Hunter both glared at the boy. "Well, Clarington's standing beside me, and you aren't, so apparently this newbie is better than you." Marina fake pouted at the boy.
"And if Edward Dalton thinks Marina, a girl, should be up here, she's definitely better than you." Hunter smirked, crossing his arms.
"Anyone who thinks they're better than Clarington and I can get out." Marina hissed, also crossing her arms. From the side lines, Sebastian saw how fast they defended one another, and smiled. Marina deserved to love too. Only the boy trudged out, the rest looking at the pair with a sense of respect.
"Now, why don't you show us why you're here." Hunter offered, the boys hastily giving her free space in the room.
"As a choreographer or singer?" She asked jokingly, before doing the former.
The boys happily clapped and cheered as she did the routine, many impressed by the skills they didn't know she had. When she finished, Hunter clapped slowly, smirking. "Good. We'll definitely win sectionals with you here."
Marina moved to stand in front of him, grabbing him by the tie with a glare on her face. When she knew the other boy's couldn't see, it dropped. "Do you know this song?" She asked lightly. He nodded, "Well, I hope you're used to mashups."
They began, most of the boy's faces lighting up in recognition. Sebastian was the first to join in, the rest of the boys following shortly after to make one hell of an acapella mashup. They danced and twisted around one another as they sang, making it look like a competition. When they finished, everyone clapped.
"Not bad, Clarington. Could have been better." Marina smirked. The group then got to work on introducing the new Warblers and re-introducing everyone else.
The next day, Kitty, Marina, and some other Cheerios were sat with some footballers in the Lima Bean. Marina had got an iced coffee, dumping her usual vodka/whiskey mix into the drink. She dismissed the shocked looks from the group, only continuing to drink her coffee.
Kitty looked down to her iced coffee before looking to Kurt, who was on duty as a server. He was sitting with Blaine and Brittany, but Kitty didn't care. She raised a hand. "Excuse me. Garcon?" Kurt made his way over to Kitty, smiling down at her as she spoke. "My ice latte's too cold."
Kurt gave her a deadpan look. "It's an iced latte."
Kitty continued. "It's an iced latte that's too cold. I'm gonna need you to make me a new one."
"Hey, Kurt, you got to refill the biscotti Barrel every 15 minutes." One of Kurt's co-workers said, taking the boy's attention.
"Coming." Kurt replied.
Marina handed the boy the money for an iced latte. "Here." She smiled as the boy nodded to Kitty.
"I'll be right back with your latte." Kurt said as he watched Brittany and Blaine leave, sadness in his eyes.
Back at McKinley lunchroom, the members of New Directions, Marina, Kara, and some others sat. "Marina, Bells, this is Jamie. They're a senior." Kara informed the pair, gesturing to the figure beside her with curly brown hair and eyes of the same colour.
"I'm also non-binary." Jamie informed the pair. Both nodded, not seeing any different.
"Well, I'm bi, Bella's pan, and we live with a bunch of gay guys too." Marina shrugged.
Kara's eyes seemed to light up. "I'd like to add that I am a lesbian." Arabella's eyes lit up as well. Marina looked at Jamie, subtly gesturing to Arabella and Kara who were obviously in love. Jamie nodded in agreement.
"Since you two are our new best friends, you guys need to live with us and also meet the boys." Arabella grinned. "There's too spare dorms in out block." Marina nodded in agreement.
"Could we join the New Directions?" Jamie asked quietly, "It would also be nice to live with you two."
Marina smirked. "Leave it to me."
"You had enough time, so who is it?" Tina asked Artie in a demanding tone of voice.
"You can't rush the casting process. My genius needs it's dream time." Artie stated in response.
A brunette, younger looking girl came up to the group. "You guys are the Glee Club, right? Hi. I'm gonna try out. I'm a sophomore. My name is Marley." She smiled nervously. Lots of the group gave her unimpressed glances, but Arabella smiled.
"Us too!" Chorused Jamie and Kara, high fiving.
"Okay, well, lots of competition, so good luck to you." Tina smiled stiffly at the girl, a hint of arrogance in her tone.
"Unique offers her greetings and salutations." They sat down, waving at the group.
"Wade, you can't wear that makeup and stuff in here. You have to understand how this stuff works." Sam hissed, speaking lowly as he leaned closer to talk, "It's like Game of Thrones."
"Yeah, the peace between us and the truly popular kids is weak winter is coming. It's not gonna take much for us to get smacked down to the bottom again." Artie added.
"Maybe you should just save Unique for performances and be Wade the rest of the time." Blaine quietly suggested.
"All right... I'll go take off my face." Wade muttered, standing up and going to leave.
"Hey!" Marina exclaimed, "You really don't have to." Wade shook their head, a small smile on their face before leaving.
"Hey, glee people, Marina, Kara." Kitty acknowledged as she sat down, two footballers beside her.
