Shehnaaz let out a groan as she forced herself out of bed this early in the morning. It felt almost painful. Vacationing for her meant lying in bed all day. something she hasn't really got to experience recently due to work and family. Ever since her daughter, Adira was born a year and a half back this is the first time she actually has an option of just sleeping her day away with her beloved husband, Sidharth. He himself was a sucker for lazy vacations. All he wanted to do was either make love to her or sleep the day away. But recently his definitions for a lot of things had changed. Vacation sadly was a part of it. And now out of the blue, he wanted to go around and explore.

However their last night has left her tired and her body aches. But she would be lying if she says that she did not enjoy it. It was after one and a half years or maybe more, that she actually felt loved or when her husband really somehow wanted to show her his love. Currently he is walking around the room in a pair of shorts and bare waist above yelling at her to get out of bed and get ready. But she surely has other plans for them.

"You really want me to get in the shower alone?" She smirked and walked up to him. Stood on her toes and pressed her lips to his. His hands wrapped around her waist. She let out a moan in his mouth as the thought that maybe they had not yet drifted that far away from each other crossed her mind which was previously filled with insecurities about the same. He nibbled on her lips and her hands traveled up from his shoulders to his hair. He chuckled and pulled her closer when she whined not being able to reach that high due to the difference in their heights.

His lips left hers as they traveled down south on her neck. Kissing and biting and marking her as his, the way he initially liked. She gasped feeling his hands teasing the flesh of her bosoms and a soft whimper left her mouth when he pinched her there.

"I love you" She whispered and then the next second she felt him jerking her away.

"Shehnaaz get ready please, We are getting late." He said.

His voice was soft, yet alarming. Alarming her about the distance they had created between them in the past two years. His inability to whisper those words back to her was not something new. Hell she did not even remember the last time he had said that to her.

Her phone ringed the next second, saving her of the misery to think about the hurt. She picked up the call looking at the caller ID, it was a video call from Maa, her mother-in-law.

"Mumma" Adira screamed from the other side and as if her voice or face was balm to her wounded soul, she felt the pain wash away instantly. Adira, their daughter, was a part of them, their blood and if that meant losing Sidharth, her love in the process, she sighed not being able to think further.

"Mumma papaaa bulau" She sang on the other side and Shehnaaz passed the phone to Sidharth.

"Hi baby" He cooed. Adira looked to her side towards Anshuman, Sidharth's brother and my brother in-law for a second. He prompted a few words to her to which she sincerely nodded. Sidharth looked at her with his eyebrows furrowed. Of course she needed help in expressing. She was just one years and few months old. She knew a few words and the rest she observed and copied.

"Papa I miss uuu" She managed to speak messing with her pronunciation of "you". Shehnaaz shifted closer to Sidharth and grinned wide at her daughter, proud of how she spoke. The next second Adira's lips quivered and her eyes turned misty, she missed her parents.

"We miss you too baby, I promise we will be back soon" Sidharth said. A giggle left Shehnaaz's mouth. She hurriedly got up from where she sat and tears threatened to fall from her eyes. She could not let her daughter see what a broken mess her mother was.

"I love you papa and mumma too" she screamed laughing at the expressions Sidharth was making to make her laugh.

"I - I love you to Adi" Shehnaaz whispered wiping the tears that were now flowing freely. she could not hide herself from him anymore. They were here to resurrect their relationship and she was doing just that by finally letting her guards down. She did not remember the last time she had cried with him around to hold her, probably when she was pregnant with Adira and had forced him to hold saying he had promised her that. But today she needed that. She needed his arms around her and she was ready to beg him for that if the need be.
