Chapter 7 – Everything Changes Badly. (Part 1)

No one knows if the giant is telling the truth or not, but something tell me he is. He stomps his feet on the floor, breaking the tiles apart and something comes out from it.

Bones, of humans come out of the ground, they come in piece by piece from skull to bones of the feet. They spread everywhere around him, forming a circle on the ground.

After a moment, all of them are suddenly on fire. Like Hephaestus just make them burn, all of them are flaming swarming around Hephaestus like campfires forming a ring around him. All of a sudden, the bones move. First, they are just shaking and trembling, I thought that it’s just because of the fire, but after a moment, they float towards each other.

They compacted, and swirled, until all of them form a human skeleton. Just imagine a person, made of bones, they look like that— except that they are burning, flames surrounding them making them look like naked Ghost Rider (From Marvel.)

Hephaestus moves his hands, and the tiles that are supposed to be the ground starts to crack, until they all float into pieces, and suddenly blaze fire, turning the once white and smooth tile into black burned marble. In the air, they look like stones that floats between the flaming skeleton monsters, like some sort of special effect or something.

“This is bad.” A random guy beside me muttered.

“We can’t oppose a god.” Another random guy said.

I really thought the floating tiles are just for special effects, until they all merge and stick into the skeleton warriors. Slowly, they harden, join together, forming black armors and swords for the skeletons.

“Behold.” Hephaestus said. “The spirit of fire, they are one of my servants who helped me to fight loneliness inside my workshop. After Hera cursed me to be away from Olympus forever, to be away from my family.” He close his eyes, I think he’s now going emotional.

“We are all doomed.” Said a girl beside me.

“Now, you have two choices.” Hephaestus stated. “Join me, or die.” He continued. “Anyone who accepts my offer, can freely step towards me, and be safe.”

He looks at everyone, at first, no one is brave enough to join him, or maybe they are all trusty and good warriors. But of course, no one knows if Hephaestus is a good god.

I have a sudden idea. What about an alliance with him? I’m pretty sure Xezath will have a great time having a god in their side, fighting monsters and protecting the world.

But before I can state my idea and speak with the god, someone already make his way to join him. Someone is slowly making his way towards the god, his footsteps echoes through the crowd silence.

It is someone, wearing a sorcerer’s cloak, the only guy taking steps towards the god. He have brown hair, black eyes, and flames on his hand. . .It is Mark. . .Mark Shroud, the doctor’s son.

“Lord Hephaestus, I am one of your servants.” He said, bowing down to the god, as he shows his fire power by making a fireball in his hand.

“A Sorcerer who can control fire, but not a demigod. Good, since you follow my power, and you’re the first one who comes to me. . “ Hephaestus said. “I’m going to give you my blessing.”

I make my way through the crowd of people, to see and hear things better. This can’t be happening.

Hephaestus makes something from his hand— it looks like an orb made of fire, plus magma and lava. It looks something like a miniature version sun. So hot, I can feel its warmth in here.
