Chapter 6 – A Giant Stops Our Victory.
We enter the training grounds, after Kesley use another “His-cept” or “Open” spell in the locked doors. The room looks like Xezath Treficus— the place with the tower where Pernbius is— except that this one have a different facility. I can see a large flat circular stone, two people wearing boxing head gears with wooden swords in their hands are battling over it. Sword practice ground, I guess, it is placed in the very center.
From the entrance’ right corner is a big transparent facility, inside are target practices— something like a gun training center— except that they use wands, or staff, or gloves, or rods, or whatever magical weapon they have. While from the end right corner is something the same as that, except that they use arrows, not magic.
In the entrance left corner to the end left corner, is a large facility. . .A very scary facility. It is made of pure wood, filled with obstacles I think you will need to pass, like a small hole, a tall wall, spinning axe, arrows, traps, and more deadly weapons. I think I will be killed at the exact entrance. People wear a special gear when they enter inside, and the time I saw one got hit by a moving axe, he instantly teleported into a loser’s panel right beside the structure. It’s safe, awesome.
From the very end center of the room is a more, dangerous facility. Inside are monsters, like the one-eyed giants I saw in my dreams, three goat legged creatures— satyrs— and a bull head guy. The people who enters inside wear the same armor, but this time, they have weapons with them. I watch them as they fight the monsters, who turn out to be holograms, because they fade when they got killed— normal monsters turn into black smoke. While, the killed players are also teleported in the loser’s panel.
“Do you want to try anything?” Kesley asked.
“Um, I can’t use magic. . . I suck at swords and arrows. . . I can’t fight monsters. . .Obstacles.” I decided.
Kesley laugh. “I bet you’ll be in the loser’s panel after you enter the room.” She boasted.
I ignore her. “Um, hey, Eve, wanna come?”
“I guess.” She said.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” I stated.
I grab her hand and drag her towards the facilities entrance. The entrance is a room with walls made of transparent glass. Two men is assisting the players, helping them to wear the special gear. We fall in line, it is a short line actually, since everyone are on the sword fight and magic practice.
The two guys call me next and— I realize they aren’t guys, or girls. Both of them are made of mud, just mud, but they are shaped like humans, dressed like humans, and move like humans.
“Don’t worry, they are just shabtis. Moving statues.” Eve stated.
“Oh.” I said, as the two shabtis put on the special gear.
The special gear is compose of a blue helm, a Spartan like helm, a white long sleeve shirt plus pajamas, designed with blue lines that makes you look like a stick figure. Just imagine us as a blue stick figure with a thick white outline, and it wears a helmet . . . We pretty much look like that.
Eve and I stand at the main entrance to the obstacle, a transparent double door. We can see each deadly trap ready to kill us all, if this armors won’t work, then we are dead.
“Are you ready?” She asked.
I’m not ready.
In any second now I’m going to pee because of fear.
