Chapter 12 - The Second Chunin Exams

Kuro's POV

I watched as Kakashi's team raced into the forest. They were very quickly lost to sight as the forest swallowed them up. I turned to my left to see Anko staring at me like she was a toddler and I was her new toy. I sighed internally and walked toward her.

"Aw kid aren't you excited to spend time with me?"

I shook my head no and she looked crushed. A chunin snickered and she sent them a harsh glare that shut them up quickly. Then she turned and looked at me with the biggest smile I've ever seen.

"Let's go annoy Ibiki!"

Bipolar much? I shook my head and pointed to the forest. She frowned.

"What? It's not like anything interesting actually happens except for a few people dying, but that happens all the time! So, what do you say about replacing his underwear with pink and purple thongs?!"

I frowned and shook my head. I walked over to the chunin who had snickered and climbed on his back. The chunin went stiff and I could hear his heart beating very fast like he was pinkie and I was duckbutt or something. I set my head on his shoulder and promptly fell asleep. But before I was totally conked out I made a couple shadow clones to watch over the genin in the forest.

Kuro's Clone's POV:

I followed after Kakashi's team for the first couple miles before I felt a surge of chakra up ahead and to the left. I decided to go check it out. When I got there I realized it was the sand shinobi. The one with red hair had some bodies laying around him and the other two were looking on scared.

The red head is a jinchūriki. Feels like the one tails? Yes it is shukaku. Must report this to Kuro.

I continued to watch them to gather stats on them. They killed a couple more people but they got their scrolls and entered the tower very quickly. After they entered the tower I set back into the forest to find Kakashi's team. They seemed to be sitting in one spot so I zeroed in on their position and listened to their conversation. Basically it was a bunch of nonsense about making sure they were who they were and yada yada.

BOOooooooooOooooooOOrrrring!

Suddenly, I felt a chakra spike to my left. I looked over and saw a strong gust of wind coming towards the kids. It hit them and sent them flying. I went and buried to see if they were ok and they were. I headed back to see who sent the gust of wind. It was a grass ninja but she was all by herself.

Where is her team?

Soon I recognized her chakra.

Orochimaru.

I had met him a couple times on missions before.

Darn it. I can't kill him because he might be in an alliance with the Akatsuki. But I'm supposed to interfere in any fights that aren't related to the chunin exams or disqualify any ninja who pretend to be someone else. How do I get around this? Ah yes! I can confront him after he fights the kids and if he tried to kill them I will step in but otherwise I think they will be fine.

I kept a close eye on the fight but didn't interfere. Eventually Sasuke was defeated and given a curse mark. Now Naruto and Sakura were left. They seemed to hold him off until he left. I stayed to make sure they were ok. After a few minutes they got it together and I left to find Orochimaru. I found him in a tree a while away from the team. I landed on the branch in-front of him.

"Oh hello. You must be the one that was watching our fight earlier. Why didn't you interfere?"

I just continued to stare at him.
