Chapter 3 - A Few Challenges Too Many

Kakashi's POV

I woke up to something moving against my chest again. I looked down and saw Kuro's hand twitching. I smiled and yawned waiting for him to wake up. His hands and arms continued twitching and I assumed he was fighting in his dream. I smiled even more at that thought and then yawned yet again. Kuro's legs then tensed. Must be about to jump. His legs untensed and then suddenly his hips bucked into me where the sun don't shine. I grunted and frowned at him. Ow, jeez... must have done a flip. He went back to his hand and arm twitching. So he is fighting in taijustu, and he jumped and flipped and now he is back to taijustu. I really hoped he wouldn't do anymore flipping cuz that seriously hurt. I undid my arms from around him and tried to get his hands unlatched from my shirt. Jeez, his grip is way too strong. I then tried to get his leg off of me but he had gripped me with his leg with more force than his hands had gripped my shirt. So the only option is to wake him up before he ruins my chances to have kids. I frowned trying to think of ways to wake him up. As I was thinking his legs tensed. I stared at him in horror thinking about what was to come. His legs untensed and he was still of a second. Phew, he must have just jumped regula- "ah!" He had bucked his hips into me a lot harder than last time and this time he held them there. He then relaxed and I was crying at this point. This is abuse! Kuro I trusted you! How could you? I'm never going to have kids now! He went back to his hand twitching not hearing my mind's shouts. Ok, I need to wake him up before he does some serious damage! I shook him with my arms to see if they would wake him up. Nothing. I squeezed his legs and his arms. Nothing. I knocked on his head. Nothing. Alright, let's see... I got up and went into the kitchen. I grabbed two pans and banged them together for a minute. Nothing, his arms just continued twitching. I walked around looking for something to wake him up with. I was looking in the living room when I felt his legs tense. Oh crap! "Kuro! Wake up! Kuro, please wake up! I don't think I can survive another o- OAh!" I fell back into the couch as Kuro bucked into my groin for the third time. He didn't hold it there like last time. This time instead of his hands twitching his legs tensed. I looked down at him in horror. "Kuro, please please please wake up!" He didn't hear me and bucked into me again. This is torture Kuro! Oh my god. What if he never wakes up?! I'm gonna have to go get someone else to get him off of me! No no no no no no... I think my brain turned off for the next couple minutes because I didn't notice that his legs had tensed again. I was still repeating "no" in my head when he bucked into me yet again. This one was the worst one yet. It was a lot harder and he held it for a while then he relaxed for a few seconds. He then bucked yet again. I was sitting with birds floating around my head in circles. I think I fell unconscious after that because I woke up to Kuro's leg twitching. He must be running. I looked down at him and realized exactly what I could do to wake him up. I reached a hand toward his mask and touched the bottom of it. I stopped there but he didn't react. I was watching him to see how far he would let me go. I didn't see anything change except his legs tensing. Wait. His legs are tensed. Crap! Either this will make it worse or stop it. I don't care! If there is a small chance of stopping this torture I'm taking it! I then lifted his mask a bit. His head shot up as his left leg kneed me square in between the legs. I immediately passed out.

Kuro's POV

I felt someone lifting my mask. I shot my head up and kneed whoever it was with my left leg. I heard a grunt and then the hand that was touching my mask fell away. I looked at who was in front of me and saw Kakashi unconscious. I cocked my head at this. I looked down at where I had kneed him and it dawned on me. Oops. I snickered and unlatched myself from him. I moved him so that he was lying down on the couch. I then yawned and looked around. Why are we in the living room? I shrugged and got on top of him. I hugged him and fell asleep to the beat of his heart.

Kakashi's POV

I woke up lying down with a weight on my chest. I looked down and saw Kuro sleeping hugging me. I shook my head to clear the foggyness of sleep away. I happily realized that Kuro wasn't clutching me in his iron hard grip. Probably realized that I was trying to wake him up and get him off of me. I could still feel a dull throbbing in my groin area and winced at the torture I had gone through this morning. I don't think he even realized what he did. I looked out the window to see that it was a little after dawn. I groaned when I realized that we had to get up. After this morning, I didn't want to do anything but sleep. I sat up and held Kuro to my chest to keep him from falling backwards. I stood up still holding Kuro and went to my room. Once there I lay Kuro down so he could sleep while I got ready. After I showered and put my Anbu uniform on, minus the mask, I walked out of the bathroom to see Kuro snuggling with the blanket. I sweatdropped at his childish actions, and then left to make breakfast. Once I finished making onigiri, I walked back to my room. I shook Kuro to wake him up. He didn't respond. I sighed and reached a hand for his mask. I tapped it, trying to see if pressure on his face would wake him up. He stirred, but didn't wake up. I tapped his mask harder. This time he swatted my hand away, and went back to sleep. I sweatdropped at this. I then put my fingers on the bottom of his mask. "Kuro, if you don't wake up, I'm going to take your mask off." He didn't respond. I sighed and lifted his mask a little. He still didn't respond. "Kuro, seriously, I will take it off!" Nothing. Just the rising and falling of his chest. Ok he asked for it. I lifted the mask off fully and stared at his face. I can't see anything! He has a mask like mine covering his mouth and nose, and a cloth around his eyes. All I could see was his forehead and hair. Wait his hair... it's black with white highlights? And his skin is super pale he is almost transparent! I continued to stare at him in wonder. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked down to see his hand reaching towards me. I stared at his hand as it continued to travel to my head. He then ruffled my hair. I cocked my head at him. He isn't mad? He grabbed his mask and put it back on. He then sat up and detangled himself from the blanket. He stretched his arms and yawned. He looked back at me and cocked his head. I stared at him for a few seconds, and then I snapped out of whatever trance I was in. " I made breakfast. Shower and then eat. We were supposed to be at the Anbu headquarters at dawn. We are about 2 hours late right now." I smiled at him while saying the last sentence. He looked at me for a few seconds then nodded. He walked over to the bathroom and disappeared to shower. I walked back to the kitchen and ate my onigiri as I thought over what just happened.  He came into the kitchen as I was finishing. He didn't even look at me, just went to grab his plate from the oven. Does he even care what I look like? Apparently not. I got up and washed my dish as he sat down. I stole a glance at him to see him lifting his mask a little. I turned and put my plate up so I wouldn't drop it if I was surprised. I turned back around and he was lowering his mask back to his face. I looked down at his plate and it was empty. So fast! He got up and came over to wash his plate. I just shook my head and went to grab my Anbu mask from my bedroom. When I came out Kuro was sitting on the couch staring at the ceiling. I looked up and saw nothing there. " Kuro, we have to go. We are already late." He looked at me now, and walked over to me. He put his hands up to be carried. I sighed and picked him up. Instead of putting him on my back, I held him on my left hip, holding him with my left arm under his butt. I opened the door with my right and closed it, then I locked it. I looked at Kuro and he was cocking his head at me. I guess he didn't understand the new way I was carrying him. "Relax, Kuro, this way I have a free arm to do things with." And to block idiot anbus from hitting me with kunai. He nodded at this and put his arms around my neck. He put his head on my shoulder and promptly fell asleep. I sweatdropped at his carefreeness, but turned and continued on the way to the hq. Once we got there, Kuro shifted in his sleep, but didn't wake up. I walked up to the window where all newbies get their uniforms. "Name?" "Kuro" I replied. The Anbu turned around and grabbed something and then handed it to me. "Here you are. Welcome to Anbu." I grabbed Kuro's uniform and mask and walked through the door to the right. I went to the locker room so Kuro could change. I set him down and woke him up. I gave him his uniform and pointed to the bathroom where he could change. He nodded his head and went to change. A few minutes later he came out with the uniform on. He still was covered head to toe in black fabric but you could see his hair. It was black with a few white highlights mixed in. It was spiky and almost was as gravity defying as mine. His hair looks a lot like mine. I frowned a little at this but then smiled and he looked at me. I nodded at him and he seemed excited. He walked over to me and held his hands up. "No, Kuro, you need to walk sometimes. You're heavy." He shook his head and then bounced on his feet. I glared at him. He glared back. I sighed and picked him up like how I did earlier on the way here. He put his arms around my neck and looked at me. He was bouncing up and down in my arms. I looked at him skeptically, and then started walking to where I meet my team everyday. As I walked onto the training ground kunai were thrown at me. I sidestepped them and continued walking. Kuro had stopped bouncing, but was vibrating. I stole a glance at him to see that he was visibly shaking. I was a little worried, but shook it off as nerves. I continued to walk to where I meet with my team and stopped when I got there. I saw all 6 of them staring at Kuro.
"Yo, sorry I'm late, I got lost on the path of life."
They all glared at me now.
" Captain, why is he here?"
"Kuro is joining our team."
"But he's just a kid!"
"A kid who outsmarted a whole team of anbus and beat an Anbu as well."
"But captain, he's like 5!"
"And?"
"That's too young!"
"He will be fine."
"Senpai, he's shaking! How can you say he's gonna be fine when he's scared of just being here with us!"
I looked at Kuro now. He really was shaking, but I don't think he is nervous. I think he is excited. "Kuro?" He looked at me and tilted his head. "My team is doubting your abilities. Why don't you fight them and we'll see what happens." I smiled at him and Kuro nodded. I set him down and stepped away a few feet.
"But captain, we'll kill him!"
"Toad, be quiet and attack him!"
"Hai, captain."
They then got into attacking stances. Toad threw a few kunai at Kuro and Kuro just caught them. They seemed to realize that Kuro actually had skill. I shook my head at them. Toad charged at Kuro planning to punch him, but Kuro just ducked under the punch and then chopped the back of toads neck with his hand. Toad fell to the ground unconscious. The others then, seeing toad lose, seemed to make a plan with each other. Tenzo attacked Kuro head on with his wood style trying to trap him. The others surrounded Kuro. Suddenly, with a signal from tenzo, they all atacked Kuro. Kuro threw a smoke bomb down and I heard the sound of people fighting but couldn't tell what was happening. As the smoke cleared I saw that my team had all been knocked unconscious and tenzo was sitting in the middle of them tied up. Tenzo was looking at me confused. I looked around for Kuro, before spotting him next to toad. I walked up to Kuro and saw him squeeze toad's hand just like he did the jounin's hand when the hokage was testing him. I wonder what that does? I walked over to tenzo and untied him. Kuro dragged the rest of the team over to trees and propped them up and then squeezed their hands. When he finished he walked over to me and put his hands up. I frowned at him but obliged his request anyway. I picked him up and set him on my hip but he squirmed around. I looked at him in question and he twisted around to my front. He latched onto me as he waited for me to support him. I sighed and supported him. He loosened his hold on me and laid his head down on my shoulder. His back was curved and I frowned. I kept one arm underneath him and the other I used to make him straighten his back. I put my arm back underneath him and he slowly slouched again. I looked down at him and saw that he was almost asleep. I again used my arm to make him straighten his back but this time I kept it there. He then fell asleep and I looked at tenzo, who was snickering silently at my predicament.
"Tenzo, if you don't stop laughing, I'll knock you out too."
He shut up then. Jeez Kuro, why do have to act like a little kid. And what's with sleeping all the time? I don't think you've been awake for more than a few hours before.
"Senpai, do you know how old he is?"
I looked at tenzo and then back at Kuro.
"I think he's about 10 to 12, but I really don't know."
"Do you even know if he's actually a boy?"
"No, but he never said anything about being called one, so I just assumed he was."
"Have you heard him speak?"
"Yes, tenzo, now stop asking questions, I'm tired. I had a long morning."
I grimaced thinking about what happened this morning. Tenzo stopped asking questions but stole quick glances my way every few minutes. I went and sat down against a tree while waiting for my team to wake up. I grabbed my book out of my pocket and started to read it. After a few minutes my team started to stir. Toad was first. He raised his head and rubbed the back of his neck. He looked at me and then, Kuro, who was still clutching onto me. He got up and looked around at his unconscious teammates and then stared at Kuro.
"Captain, did he knock all of us out?"
"Yes, toad. Really easily too. Didn't even break a sweat."
He then walked over to me and sat next to me. He continued to stare at Kuro.
"What toad?"
"Uh, well, he's just so small and childish that it is kinda hard to believe."
"So you need him to show you again?"
"No-no, no, captain, it's fine, just shocked us all. How long was I knocked out for?"
"About 7 minutes. Do you feel any different than before?"
" no, just wondering because I feel like I just slept for a thousand years!"
I looked at him a little closer. He didn't look any different. I looked down at Kuro. He was still sleeping. I heard a groan and looked up. The others were waking up. They all got up and stretched and then looked at me and Kuro. Their eyes widened as they realized what happened.
"Captain... did he seriously beat all of us?"
"Yep! So I better not hear any of you doubting him anymore."
I looked at each of them and they nodded in return.
"Okay we will do some training."
I looked down at Kuro.
"Let me just wake him up first and then we'll get started."
They all nodded and started stretching. I stood up and continued holding Kuro. I tapped Kuro's mask. He stirred, but didn't wake up. I sighed. I tapped his head this time. "Kuro, wake up. We need to train." He lifted his head and looked at me. "Ok, we need to train so I'm going to put you down." His legs squeezed me twice. He put his head back down on my shoulder. "Hey, Kuro, seriously, we need to train and I can't train while holding you. You certainly can't train while I'm holding you." He just reached a hand up and ruffled my hair. He's challenging me? He thinks that we can both train in this position?! What? Suddenly 2 clones of Kuro's popped up next to us. They threw kunai at each other and then caught them. Then they disappeared and Kuro squeezed me twice with his legs. "Kuro you can't make your clones train while you sleep!" He reached up and ruffled my hair. I got a tick mark. Kuro you lazy kid. Making your clones train for you does nothing. " Kuro if you don't take this seriously I'm gonna drop you." He just squeezed me twice with his legs. "Fine." I let go of him with my arms. He instantly squeezed me. His legs were digging into my side and his arms were choking me. "K- k- ku- r- o, le- t- g- g- o-!" He continued to squeeze me. Spots danced across my vision as his choke hold cut off my oxygen. I put my hands back where they were supporting him. He instantly relaxed his hold around my neck and waist. I took in a deep breath, my chest heaving. He reached a hand up and patted my head. I looked at him with a glare. I was gonna move my hands when his legs squeezed me. I gulped and kept my hands where they where, making sure I was supporting him. "Okay, looks like we are training like this." I looked up at my team only to see them staring at Kuro. Tenzo was snickering and I sent him a death glare. He shut up immediately. "Okay 1 on 1 spars. Toad and tenzo you are the first up." Toad and tenzo sparred. Tenzo won. Bird and lizard were up next. Lizard won. Bear and boar were up next. They tied. Next was me and Kuro. "Okay, Kuro our turn." A Kuro clone popped up. I got a tick mark. I looked down at him sharply. "Kuro." I growled. He just nuzzled his head against my shoulder and squeezed me with his legs. I sighed and moved to make the handsigns to make a clone. As soon as I moved my hands, Kuro squeezed me tightly. I immediately put my hands back as I regained my breath. "Kuro, I have to make a clone to fight your clone." He squeezed me twice with his legs. "I'm not fighting your clone with you in my arms!" He ruffled my hair. I growled at him. He just squeezed me again. Huh, this time he didn't squeeze twice. Wait. Was that Morse code? I tapped his back. Can you use Morse code? I waited to see what he would do. He squeezed me again. This time I payed attention to what he was saying. T-r-a-I-n-I-n-g... training? I looked at him and cocked my head. He looked up at me and another clone appeared. The two clones threw a kunai at each other and then they caught them. Then they disappeared. What? Wai- oh, I get it. He wants me to make a clone without hands and then have it fight his clone. I looked down at him.
"I can't make a clone without handsigns."
He squeezed me.
Learn
I sighed and started gathering chakra to make a clone. I tried to make a clone and it wasn't bad... just a little short, and discolored. One of his clones appeared and threw a kunai at my clone. My clone disappeared and so did his. I sighed for what felt like the hundredth time today. Kuro, your a real pain you know that. Kuro stretched a little and then settled his head back down on my shoulder. I heard his breathing even out at as he fell asleep. I looked at my team and they were staring at Kuro. "Alright toad, boar, and tenzo spar 2 on 1 and rotate it every once in a while. Bird, bear, and lizard work on your weakest justu category. I'll train with Kuro, I guess." They nodded and turned to do their training. I sat down against a tree and started to build up chakra for the clone jutsu. Kuro continued to sleep occasionally twitching in his sleep. Every time I made a clone, one of his would pop up and throw a kunai killing my clone. Then his clone would disappear. I sighed after his clone killed my 65th clone. My stomach growled and I looked at Kuro. I got up from against the tree. I walked over to where tenzo, toad, and boar were sparring. They were drenched in sweat and were panting from sparring non-stop. "Okay that's enough you three. Go rest up and grab some food." I then walked over to bird. She was practicing some water justus. After one of them was completed successfully I nodded to her and she nodded back, walking to go get some food. I walked up to lizard next. He was working on genjutsu on his clone. I tapped him with my foot, " lizard, go get some food." I then continued on to bear. He was also working on genjustu. I told him to get some food. I then followed behind them. "Kuro, what do you want to eat?" He lifted his head and then put it back down. He squeezed me with his legs once.  "Alright then, I'm getting ramen." I walked to Ichiraku ramen. As I walked in I saw a yellow haired kid sitting at one of the seats. He was on his 6th bowl. I sat down on the far right and ordered 2 bowls of miso ramen. As I was given my ramen, the yellow haired child got up to leave shouting, " bye teuchi-San!" I looked down as Kuro twitched hearing the loud voice.
Who is that?
I sighed.
That's naruto. He's the fourth hokage's son and the jinchurikii for the 9-tails.
He squeezed me with his legs once and then leaned backwards. He turned around in my lap so that he was now facing the ramen. I looked down at him in interest, seeing if he would let me see his face. He grabbed his chopsticks and snapped them. He lifted his mask with his left hand, and I leaned a little forward waiting to see his face. I then heard a shout outside and instinctively looked to see where it came from. Too late I realized my mistake as I turned back around to see Kuro lowering his mask. I sighed as he turned around in my lap and leaned his head against my chest. Teuchi and his daughter had already seen my face before, but I still didn't like showing people. I pulled out my book and started reading. As I read I hid my face behind my book and ate my ramen. Kuro kept his face buried in my chest. He squeezed me once when he hugged me. I had looked down at this, but not seeing him looking at me I payed no attention to it. I finished my ramen shortly before tenzo burst into the ramen shop. "Captain, we have a mission!" I stood up immediately, putting my book in my pouch. As I had stood up Kuro having been hugging me and in my lap came with me. He was a little surprised at my speed of which I stood up, and he started to slip. He tightened his grip on me as he slid down to my hip. I grabbed him and hoisted him up higher into my arms. He latched onto me with his legs and his arms. He looked at tenzo as tenzo stood there staring at us. "Cmon tenzo stop staring at us like that and let's go!" He nodded and turned around to go. I slapped some money into he counter and left after him. We leaped up to the rooftops and raced towards the hokages office. When we reached it I went in through the window, nonchalantly. I made it seem as though I hadn't just raced to get here. Kuro squeezed me once with his legs, and put his head on my shoulder. I looked at who was in the room. The hokage was sitting in his chair smiling at Kuro. The rest of my team was there as well. I saw Ibiki standing to my teams right. He was staring at Kuro like he was an alien. I glared at him and he just turned around and looked back at the hokage. Kuro squeezed me. Not now. We have a mission. I looked down at him and tapped his back. Ok, but when we get back he is dead. Kuro just squeezed me once. He lifted his head, and started to shift to go around to my back. I lifted my arms up to allow him to get on my back. He switched around to my back and I lowered my arms and grabbed his legs. He put his head on my shoulder and looked at the hokage. The hokage cleared his throat. "Right, team Ro has a s ranked mission. It should take a few days. Kakashi, here is the scroll." I took the scroll and read it quickly scanning the contents. I closed the scroll and put it in my pouch. Kuro was holding onto me the whole time, not complaining about the lack of support. "Hai, hokage-sama. Meet me at the village gates in 15 minutes. Pack for a week. Dismissed." They all poofed away to go pack. I looked back at the hokage. He nodded for me to leave and I glared at Ibiki as I poofed to my apartment. As soon as I got there, Kuro squeezed me.
Leave Ibiki alone. He did not do anything.
"Kuro he tortured you for 7 hours!"
So
I looked at Kuro in exasperation. "Pack for a week, okay?" He nodded and went off to my bedroom. I followed him and started to put stuff in a pack. He finished in 2 minutes with me finishing a few seconds later. He put his bag on his back and walked to the door. I walked up to him after making sure the windows were locked. I opened the door and he walked out. I closed and locked the door. I felt a hand tug at my shirt. I looked over at Kuro. He was asking to be picked up. I sighed and picked him up hoisting him onto my left hip. I started walking to the gates. I looked over at Kuro as he rested his head on my shoulder. "Don't fall asleep, Kuro." He squeezed me twice as he relaxed his muscles. I sighed as I realized he was just going to sleep no matter what I said. I then looked ahead as the gates came into view. I saw my team waiting. I walked up to them and nodded at them in silent agreement. We walked out of the gates and jumped up the trees to start our mission.
