Chapter 13 - Why are there so many?

Kuro's POV

I walked out to where the preliminaries would be held. Yeah, they said they needed to thin out the numbers even more. They could have just killed a few in the forest from other nations and no one would have batted an eye, but noooo! They just had to make them fight fair and square. Stupid Konoha being nice and friendly. Jeez, gramps could've just told me to get rid of the weaklings and bam! No problems. Ah well, it's ok. There shouldn't be too many of them so it won't take up too much of my time. The less of them there are, the shorter it will be, and the longer I can nap for! This is a great plan! Good going me. Ok now just make a right here. Then make yourself invisible. Ok and yep. Then go through the door quietly and quickly making sure no one notices you. Bam! And then walk silently over to the rest of the jounin and Anbu. Ok and turn and assess the kids... What!? How are there so many!? I thought there were supposed to be like a few teams but woah that a lot of kids. Wait I'm a kid too... eh whatever... that's a lot of kids!

I walked over to Kakashi and tapped his back to let him know I was there. He flinched slightly but not enough for anyone to notice. He tapped on his book that he was reading... again.

Kuro?

Yes it's me. Orochimaru is after Sasuke. Gramps ordered us to keep an eye on him. When he finishes his fight you need to seal his curse mark. I will stand guard in the shadows if he appears and attacks. Got it?

Yes, I know a room we can take him to. It's in the basement. If you stay invisible you can just follow me once I get Sasuke.

Ok. Now can I sleep on your back. I don't want to watch these children fight. It's boring.

I climbed onto his back and used my chakra to stick onto him. I felt him use his chakra to hold onto me as well. He probably thinks I'll stop once I fall asleep. Ah poor little baka. Still underestimating me? I rested my head on his shoulder and my arm. Soon I found myself falling asleep.

I woke up to a loud bang and gasps of surprise. I opened my eyes and saw that a fight had been going on. It looked like it had just finished. The little Gai-look-a-like was on the ground unconscious. The red headed child was being restrained by a couple people. They must have stopped him from killing the bushy browed child. Eh, could've done with one less creepy bushy eyebrowed green caterpillar in the village. I guess he's valuable though. Both were taken away, for one be treated for his wounds, and the other to be calmed down. Anyway, next up was Sasuke so that's good. That means that I can sleep soon.

(Time skip to after Sasuke's fight because we all know Kuro could care less about such a boring fight.)

Kakashi jumped down to keep Sasuke upright. He said some stuff, yada yada, and we were headed to the room we're Sasuke would get his cursed mark sealed.

Once we got to the room, Kakashi immediately got to work. I got off of him, severing our chakra ties and set up invisible chakra detectors. Basically, if anything with chakra moved across or near the detectors then I would know. Kakashi finished the seal and then prepared Sasuke.

That sounds weird. Like he prepared him to be eaten or something. Ewwwwwwwww. That's like creepy times 2. Yuck yuck.

Anyway, he finished that and started to build up chakra to do the seal. I walked over and touched his arm giving him a decent amount of chakra. He made a small nod of thanks and started the handsigns. Then he sealed it.
