Chapter 10 - Unexpected Revelations

A/n
So I skipped the wave arc because Kuro wouldn't have gone on that mission as it was a c rank. The team still hasn't met Kuro. It is now the day that team 7 is told about the chunin exams.

Kuro's POV

Kakashi just finished explaining the chunin exams to his team. I was watching from afar as I always did. Once Kakashi poofed to me I got on his back and we headed to Gramp's office. When we got there I sat down on the desk facing gramps. " my team is ready for the chunin exams." "Ah yes, you already gave them the papers then?" "Hai, hokage-sama." "Well, I'm currently missing one of my jounin who was going to proctor the exam. So I was wondering if Kuro could help me out?" I nodded to him. "Ah, good. You just need to catch any cheaters. If you go to the T & I unit Ibiki will fill you in." I nodded. Kakashi was a little angry about me going to see Ibiki, but controlled it. I need to talk to gramps alone. "Why Kuro?" Because I need to tell him a secret. "Why can't I hear it." Because then you'll know it. He pouted then left. Gramps had learned Morse code once I became the Anbu captain of team Ro. This is between you and me. Only. He nodded and sent his Anbu guards away. Once satisfied I opened my mouth to speak. "Gramps, you are going to die soon." He looked at me shocked. Then he furrowed his brows, "how do you know." I have a power that allows me to tell if someone is going to die soon. I just get a feeling from them. That's how I knew that the uchiha massacre was going to happen. When I walked in the uchiha compound the feeling was deafening, but Itachi and his brother didn't give me that feeling. Itachi had grown a little detached and because of Shisui's death it was only a matter of time before I figured it all out. Now, because of this I have made a plan. I can save you by being your body guard during the chunin exams as this is most likely when you'll die. "Kuro, you don't have to do that." "Figures. Then gramps if your death wish is really that strong I have another plan. I know you believe that danzo can still do good for the village. Stop believing in that foolishness. He has partnered with Orochimaru to kill you so he can take over. When you die, I plan to kill danzo so he can't become hokage. I assume you wanted a Sannin to become hokage. I plan to go rouge to find out more about the Akatsuki and Orochimaru. I will join the snake first then the akatsuki. Do you agree with my plan?" "Kuro, you are an amazing bright young man. I assume that this is the only possibility that has a good outcome yes?" I nodded again. "To ensure that you trust me completely and so you know I trust you as well..." I took off my masks so that gramps could see my face. His breath hitched and his eyes widened. "You're his son!" "Yes, I was an experiment. They wanted to test if they could put multiple shinobi's DNA together to create the perfect shinobi. I guess it succeeded, however the costs were too great. I have some of the first, second, and fourth hokage's DNA. As well as the toad sannin. I also have some of Kushina's DNA. They needed some uchiha DNA, so they took a kid's as it wasn't easy to grab an adult. I'm mostly his DNA, and I don't know who my mother was. Honestly I'm surprised that I even look normal with this variety of DNA. They were planning on adding animal DNA, but I can't remember what animal. They said it would help me make a contract with an animal but I don't remember." "Who is they?" "It doesn't matter. They are dead. Long gone. I got away as soon as I could and had to resort to catching bounty's as a way to get money." "Alright Kuro, then what is your real name?" "A name that shall never be spoken again." He looked at me with pity. He reached out and touched my hair. He smiled. "You definitely look like him." I nodded. "I decided not to tell Kakashi about all of this until I was sure that he could handle it. Right now he is too focused on his new team. Anyway, you need to inform the next hokage of mine and Itachi's situation. As well as tell them to let Tenzo be the captain of team Ro, or for him to be the co-captain of team 7. Then you can leave Toad as the captain of team Ro. These two are exceptional Anbu. Also tell them that team 7 is the next sannin. So make sure to watch them. I will make contact with them through my own methods that they will surely recognize. You got that Gramps?" "Yes Kuro. During the chunin exams you will be the silent proctor. At the third exam, you can be my personal bodyguard. I will leave a top secret document for the next Hokage as well as who the next Hokage should be." I turned to leave by the window. "And gramps, if you tell anyone of what I look like or sound like or of my genetics... I will kill you before the third exam even starts." I put my masks back on quickly and jumped out the window.

I headed to the top of the hokage mountain. It had become my favorite spot outside of my house. I knew Kakashi was probably waiting for me, but I just needed a little time to think through what I'm about to do. I could let Kakashi know about everything. I don't want to break him anymore than he already has been. He wouldn't spill the beans if he knew that it would kill me. I nodded my head in firm agreement to tell him when warm hands wrapped around me in a hug. "Kuro what are you doing up here? I thought you were talking with the hokage?" Finished talking to him. "You only come up here when something is bothering you. Want to talk about it?" I nodded. Not here though. People are listening. I poofed us home. We landed on the bed and I set up a silencing seal and other seals so that we couldn't be heard or seen from outside. "Kuro? What is so secret that all of this is necessary?" "Look, I'm only going to say this once, so you need to pay attention bakashi." The Baka was surprised at my voice and then an irk mark appeared when I said his nickname I gave him. "I'm going to go on an undercover mission soon. I will be labeled as a rogue and won't be able to be in contact with you. I will stay in contact with the hokage only to give them information that I gather. Sort of like the toad sannin except where I'm going I have to be a rogue if I want to live. During or after the third exam is when I will leave. I'm going to fake kill some anbu so I can be labeled as an s-rank rogue. They will be in a temporary death state. I don't want anyone to know that they didn't actually die. You will have to find them. I plan on only doing this to 12 but the number could go up. All of them will have a black mask like mine on their face. This is only the bare minimum of information I can tell you. I just wanted you to know that I'm not leaving you because I hate you or if you failed to be my guardian. I don't hate you at all and you are a wonderful guardian." It was silent as Kakashi processed the information. I sat quietly staring at him. Eventually he seemed to finish processing and then looked at me with sadness and confusion. "Why do you have to go rogue?" "I'm going to join a criminal organization full of S-rank rouges. If they know that I'm not rogue then they will kill me." "is this necessary?" "Yes." He slumped back and sighed. "How long?" "Til the third chunin exam. Then I have to leave for however long it takes to stop all of the threats to Konoha." He sighed and ran his hand down his face, pulling his mask off in the process. I scooted over to him and hugged him. He wrapped one arm around me as the other was petting my hair. "I don't want you to go." I hummed in agreement. There was a little waver in his breathing and I looked up at him. There were tears streaming down his face as he was trying to stop crying. I sat up and wiped the tears from his eyes. I pushed him gently so that he was laying down. I got next to him and turned him so his face was in the crook of my neck. He was still crying. I pulled him close and squeezed him tightly as I ran my hand through his hair. He started to calm down and his breathing slowed down. My eyelids started to get heavy and I knew it was time to sleep. As I was falling asleep I murmured a soft, "love you papa.".

Hiya! Sorry for not updating quicker... but here is a big chapter. It is one of the shorter ones, but it has a lot of info! Anyway, I have a surprise next chapter! I won't spoil it too much, buuuuuut I'll give you a hint. It has to do with Anbu. Ok byeeeeeee!
