Chapter 8: My Arm

Y/n's POV

My arm hurts. I open my eyes and go to grab my arm when I notice it's missing. I scream. I then see Armin, Reiner, and Jean look at me.

"WHERE IS MY ARM?!" I yell. Reiner looks at the ground guiltily.

"Are you a titan?" Jean asks.

Am I a what?

"No I'm not a titan. Why would you think that?" I ask confused

"Your wound healed up on its own. It's just a nub now" Jean says.

"What even happened?!" I ask.

"I wanted to save you from the... female titan... So I cut its hand and in the process cut your... arm off as well" He says still looking to the ground. I sigh.

"Cool I'm missing an arm and now I'm possibly a titan" I say.

"I'm sorry" He says.

"It's fine. Now how are we gonna get back in formation with one horse?" I ask. Jean attempts on calling his horse back. Armin is spacing out.

"We're gonna have to decide who's staying behind" Reiner says. Jean then fires an emergency signal.

"I'll stay" Armin says.

"No you're not staying" I say.

"Hey look! I see someone coming over here" Jean says. We all turn to see Christa, leading two horses.

"Christa you're a life saver. I can't believe the emergency signal actually worked" Reiner says. She smiles.

"I'm glad you're all ok- Y/n?! What happened to your arm?!" She asks concerned.

"Ran into some trouble, but I'll be fine" I say as I scratch my head.

"I'm glad" She says smiling. All three boys stare in awe.

"I wouldn't mind marrying her" Reiner states. My face darkens and a threatening aura appears around me. Armin shrieks and jumps into Jean's arms while Jean hides behind Christa, while still holding Armin. Christa just watches the scene unfold.

"I'm sorry what was that?" I ask in an alarmingly low tone. He realizes he's in deep shit.

"I wasn't ser-" he begins.

"Reiner can you bring me the horse over there. We're sharing" I say smiling sweetly.

"You were a brave soldier Reiner. You will be missed" Jean says. Reiner quickly brings a horse and he helps me get on. He then gets on himself. I'm in the front while he's behind me steering the horse.

"Lets get back into formation" I say with a sweet smile. Jean and Armin quickly nod and hop on a horse while Christa follows. As we get back into formation I begin ripping Reiner's head off.

"SO FIRST YOU CUT OFF MY ARM AND NOW YOU WANT TO MARRY ANOTHER WOMAN?! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! YOU BETTER HOPE I'M NOT A TITAN BECAUSE IF THIS ARM GROWS BACK! I'M GONNA KILL YOU! DO YOU HEAR ME?!" I yell.

"I'm sorry"

"I DON'T WANNA HEAR I'M SORRY. PRAY TO THE WALLS THAT I DON'T KILL YOU!" I yell

"Y'know she's kinda hot when she's mad" I hear Jean say

"AY BACK OFF JEAN! SHE'S MINE!" Reiner yells

"OH SO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU WANT ME?!" I yell.

"Come on babe. I said I was sorry." He says.

"We'll continue this when we get back. Focus on the mission" I say. We finally get in formation. We assume they're going to give a retreat signal but they do just the opposite and we're given a signal that we're changing course.

"Are you sure this is the ri-" Armin begins

"Armin just follow the orders okay?" I say in a sweet voice. He nods violently.

~Tiny Time Skip~

We're now standing on the trees.

"Are you sure these orders a-" Jean begins but Armin shuts him up.

"Just follow orders" Armin says.

"I think Erwin is leading the Female Titan into the forest. They'll deal with it there" Armin says. I nod.

"Luckily we don't have to fight the titans as long as we don't enter the forest" Jean says

"One of the titans are trying to climb up" Christa says

"We'll be fine plus Commander Erwin should be issuing a withdrawal order soon" Nanaba says. Jean and Armin have to shift positions due to a titan learning how to climb.

"I think they're gonna capture the female titan in the forest" Jean says. I nod.

"Is it worth it?" Jean asks. I sigh and just as I'm about to rip his head off, Armin speaks.

"Commander Erwin has made his choice. Whether to sacrifice hundreds of soldiers or all the people inside the walls. Only those who do not hesitate to make sacrifices are able to change something" Armin says. I smile at his words. I notice Reiner glaring at Armin intensely.

Aw is someone jealous because I'm ignoring him. cry about it.

We then hear a loud scream. I cover my ears, well attempt to cover my ears but I only covered one, since my arm was cut off. We then see a retreat signal. We all sigh in relief.

"Do you think think they captured the person inside the titan?" Jean asks

"The culprit is someone who saw Eren transform" Armin says

~Later~

We're now taking care of the dead bodies as we're on stand by.

"I will never get used to this. What about the future casualties?" Jean asks.

"Don't think about it. You'll be unable to fight if you do" Armin says.

"How long will I stay alive?" Connie asks. Sasha tries to cheer him up but fails.

~Time Skip~

We've just made it back to the walls. I'm no longer caring about what's going on. I'm tired and I want to sleep.

"Y/n?" Reiner asks quietly.

"What?" I ask.

"I know you're still mad at me... but I can see you're exhausted... You can go to sleep... I'll wake you up when we get there" He says. I smile softly. I almost forgot why I was mad at him.

"Thank you" I say. He puts an arm around my waist to keep me from falling of the horse. I then fall asleep.
