Bonus Chapter: First Date

Idk when this is like after the Cadet Corps and Trost but before everything fell apart?

Y/n's POV

Me and Reiner are going on our first date today. I'm kind of nervous

I walk to the lone tree where he asked me to meet him. As I get closer I see Reiner's outline. The minute he notices me, a wide smile appears on his face.

"Y/n!" He says as he walks over to me

"Hey Reiner" I say as I smile at him. He blushes but quickly gets over his shyness.

"So you ready for that date?" He asks with a smirk. I nod and he grabs my hand. He then leads me to a small forest

"Why are we going into the forest?" I ask

"Just wait, I wanna show you something. I think you'll really like it" He says with an evil smirk

Oh no, he's plotting something. I know that look anywhere

I sweat drop and continue to follow him. Out of nowhere he picks me up.

"Reiner what are you doing?!" I ask confused

"Do you trust me?" He asks me seriously. My eyes widened at the sudden change in his voice.

"Why would you ask me that? Of course I trust you" I say.

"Close your eyes" He says. I give him a confused look

"Why?" I ask

"Just trust me" He says. I sigh and close my eyes. He continues to carry me.

"Where are we going?" I ask

"It's a secret" He says. He then suddenly stops.

"Do you know how to swim?" He asks.

"Uh yeah, why?" I ask. I then feel myself being moved

I quickly open my eyes to see a lake infront of me. I begin struggling as I look up at Reiner. He's got an evil smile on his face

"YOU ID-" I begin but I'm cut off as I hit the water. I go completely under

I began flailing my arms around as I 'couldn't' swim

When I tell you he looked like he had seen a ghost, I meant it. His face had gone completely white, eyes wide, pure horror on his face. God it was so funny

I then pretended to drown and go unconscious. I quickly closed my eyes and stopped moving as I sunk. I heard a splash and then I felt arms around me. I was pulled above the water and I continued to be 'unconscious'

"Y/n! Holy cow! No no no no no. Please be okay!" He says worriedly. I then feel myself be put on solid ground. I stop my breathing so I can pretend to be dead

I'm such a jerk

I feel his hands on my face

"Please. God I'm so sorry, this was supposed to be funny. No" He says as he begins to cry. I could no longer keep up my facade. I began laughing as I opened my eyes. I saw Reiner staring at me with wide teary eyes. I instantly felt guilty

"Reiner" I say as I wipe his tears. He smiles

"You're alright" He says relieved, but then it drops and he glares at me

"I thought you were dead" He says somewhat angry. I smirk

"Didn't know I was such a good actor" I say laughing

"Why would you do that?!" He asks

"I could ask you the same thing" I say

"It was supposed to be funny" He says quietly

"And there's your answer" I say as I shiver

Its cold

He notices and frowns

"I'd give you my shirt but it's soaked" He says

"It's fine, thank you though" I say with a smile

"So we both agree we're jerks right?" He asks

"Yup, but I think this was a successful first date" I say with a smile

"I cried Y/n" He says

"And I laughed. Your point?" I ask

"You're truly evil Y/n" He says. I laugh

"You're so kind" I say sarcastically as I sit up. He pushes my head lightly back down. He then hugs me tightly

"I'm glad it was a joke. I don't know what I would've done if it wasn't" He says as he buries his face in my neck. I run my fingers through his hair

"You can't get rid of me that easily" I say. He removes himself from my neck and stares at my e/c eyes. He then softly kisses me, I kiss back. The kiss was slow and full of love. Almost like we had all the time in the world. Sadly we both needed air and reluctantly pulled apart. I missed the feeling of his lips on my own. He then pulled me into him and laid on his back. I was now laying on top of him. His arms were wrapped around me. We didn't talk because we were enjoying the silence. Well we were

"REINER! Y/N! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Bertholdt asks

"Gosh darn it Birth Control" I mutter to myself

"Do you mean Bertholdt?" He asks

"Yeah isn't that what I said?" I ask

"No you said Birth Control" He says

"No I said Berturtle" I say

"No it's Bertholdt" He says

"No Bertholdt"

"Holy cow Y/n. It isn't that hard"

"How does Bertholdt and Boruto sound anything alike?!" He asks

"You said the same word twice" I say

"BERTHOLDT COME GET THIS GIRL! I'M ABOUT TO THROW HER BACK INTO THE LAKE!" Reiner yells

"Do it. I dare you" I say. He then sits up and then picks me up. He then throws me into the water. I go under and pop back up

"BIRTH CONTROL YOU BETTER GET THIS MAN! I SWEAR TO SINA, YOU WON'T HAVE A SLEEP BUDDY ANYMORE!" I yell as I get out of the water. I then begin to strangle Reiner. I hear footsteps and I look up to see Bertholdt. I give him an innocent smile as I continue to choke Reiner

"Hi Bertell" I say

"It's Bertholdt" He says

"That's literally what I said. Bertold" I say

"No you said Bertell, my name is Bertholdt" He says

"SHUT UP BARDLOT, YOU'LL END UP LIKE REINER HERE! 6 FEET UNDER AFTER I KILL HIM FROM ASPHYXIATION!" I yell. Reiner begins tickling me. I let go of his neck as I laugh

"BERTHOLDT RESTRAIN HER QUICKLY!" Reiner yells. Bertholdt quickly ties me up and Reiner picks me up

"Bristol help me" I whine

"Bertholdt" Bertholdt says

"Bearlto" I say

"Bertholdt" Reiner says

"We're literally saying the same thing" I say. I then suddenly feel sleepy. I close my eyes and fall asleep
