"Whoever touched the candy right before they handed it to the woman is the other parent"

Y/n's POV

I can't believe it... was everything he told me a lie?

~2 weeks before~

I was eating dinner with Bertholdt when I noticed Reiner hadn't come in. I quickly finished eating and put my tray away. I then went out looking for Reiner. I eventually found him carrying a bag. I walked up to him

"Hey Reiner" I say

"Oh hey Y/n" He says with an exhausted smile

"What are you doing?" I ask

"Delivering these candies to the higher ups. I just put them all in the bag" He says

"Oh if you give me where you're going I can do it for you" I say

"No that's not nece-" He begins but his stomach rumbles

"I've already eaten so it's fine" I say as I grab the bag

"If you insist. It's just that building over there" He says. I nod

"Go eat" I say as I push him towards the mess hall. He smiles and walks in. I then head towards the building

He said candy... right? They won't mind if I eat like two, will they?

I open the bag and pop two in my mouth

They taste so good. The higher ups are so lucky

I hurry up and deliver it and then head back to Reiner. I sit down next to him

"I delivered it" I say

"That's good... you didn't eat any of it right?" He asks

"Of course not" I say lying through my teeth

"That's good..I love you Y/n" He says with a smile

"I love you too" I say
