Chapter 34: The Day After

Y/n's POV

I woke up to body aches. I look over to the window to see the sun shining through

Jean and Mikasa will be here soon to drop off the twins.

So being the idiot that I am, I got out of bed. My legs ached so I dropped to the floor. I pinched the bridge of my nose as I exhaled loudly

Reiner

"Reiner" I say. He doesn't answer and continues snoring

"Reiner!" I say a little louder. No response

"REINER WAKE UP!" I yell. No response. I began fake crying as he always wakes up to me crying. His head shoots up while his eyes are still closed. He grabs the pillow thinking its me and begins cuddling it

"It's alright, I'm here now" Reiner coos

"That's a pillow, and I'm on the floor" I say unamused. He opens his eyes slowly as he looks at the pillow confused

"Did.. Y/n turn into a talking pillow?" He asks himself

I married an idiot

"No Reiner, I'm on the ground" I say. He looks at me and stares

"Why are you on the ground?" He asks

You'd think he'd be all caring but no in the morning his brain doesn't seem to add two and two together so he's basically brain dead

"Because I can't walk" I say

"Why not? You got legs" He says

"The candy" I say. He sits there and processes it for a couple seconds. His eyes slightly widen as he makes an "o" with his mouth

"Did it break your legs?" He asks

"Reiner. Come help me up" I say. He gets up and helps me stand up. I basically used him as a walking aid. He leads me to the bathroom so I can get ready. We hear knocking on the door

"That must be Jean and Mikasa with the twins" I say

"I'll go answer" Reiner says as he walks away

"N-no!" I say as I fall onto the ground

Reiner's POV

I walked to the front door and answered it. Just like Y/n said, Jean, Mikasa and the twins were there

"DADDY!" Marco and Zoe yell as they run over to me

"Where's Y/n?" Mikasa asks

"Our bedroom, in the bathroom" I say. Mikasa just walks in and heads towards our bedroom

Okay just invite yourself in, I guess

"REINER! WHEN I GET OVER THERE I'M GONNA MESS YOU UP!" I hear Y/n yell

"Man, already having marriage troubles?" Jean asks laughing. A couple minutes later Mikasa comes back carrying Y/n

Y/n's POV

"Well good morning sleeping beauty" Jean says with a smirk

"Screw off horse face" I say flipping him off

"Ooh you already hate him?" Jean asks

"No, when I found her-" Mikasa begins but I cover her mouth

"Shut up" I say

"Tell me" Jean says as I remove my hand

"She was trying to use the counter in the bathroom to stand" Mikasa finishes. I smack her lightly

"Mikasa, what happened to you the sisterhood?!" I ask. Jean starts laughing

"She can't walk" He laughs

"Mikasa would you be so kind as to walk over to Jean?" I ask. She does so. As soon as he's in range I begin smacking him repeatedly over the head

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Stop it! Stop it! Reiner come get your wife! She's beating me!" Jean cries out

"GET HIM MOMMY!" Zoe yells. Marco attaches himself to Jean's left leg. Zoe grabs the other

"I CAN'T MOVE! SOMEONE SAVE ME!!!" Jean begs.

"This is karma for your stunt at the wedding" Reiner says

"Oh speaking of weddings. Me and Jean are planning to get married in a couple months" Mikasa says

"Really?" I ask with a smile on my face

"Mhm" She says with a small smile as she stares at Jean

"I CAN'T WAIT FOR ALL THE MINI JEAN'S AND MIKASA'S RUNNING AROUND! LET ME BABYSIT!" I say happily

"Babies?" Jean asks as his face turns red

"Where's all that confidence from before?" Reiner asks as he slaps Jean on the back. Jean has stopped working, he's just frozen and red

"Hey I think we broke Jean" Reiner says

"Nah he just can't handle the fact him and Mikasa will have children one day" I say. Mikasa frowns

"Does he not want children?" Mikasa asks. Jean snaps out of it

"N-No no, I do... it's just..." Jean mutters

"He's so red, how cute" I coo at him

"S-Shut up! You can't even walk!" Jean says as he's now the color of a strawberry

"Jean and Mikasa sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Marco and Zoe chant

"Shut up you two!" Jean mutters. Mikasa sets me down as I use her for support so I can stand

"Why are mommy's legs all wobbly?" Zoe asks

"Because mommy ate the ca-" Jean began but Mikasa smacked him upside the head

"Ow" He mutters

"Ca?" Marco asks. I look at Reiner and he clears his throat

"On the way home, me and mommy fell and mommy hurt her legs" Reiner says lying. I let out a sigh of relief as they believe it

"You should carry mommy like a princess then" Zoe says

"Yeah" I say as I look at him with a glare

"I mean it's daddy's fault I fell and hurt myself" I say

"Daddy hurt mommy?" Marco asks. I nod. Marco and Zoe glare at Reiner. They then attack like rabid dogs. Zoe kicks the back of his knees making Reiner fall. They both then begin to jump on his stomach as he's laying flat on his back. Reiner looks like he's in pain. I just watch in victory

"SAY YOU'RE SORRY!" Zoe yells at Reiner

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Reiner says. Marco grabs his collar

"You better be" Marco says

"Well we gotta go. We're going on a double date with Connie and JJ. He's gonna be the best man so we'll be discussing wedding ideas with him" Jean says

"Ooh, you'll be my maid of honor right?" Mikasa asks me

"Yeah of course" I say. She smiles

"Great" She says
