My hand was throbbing and also burning as I made my way over to Customer Service to see Garrett who was making a announcement.

"Attention, shoppers." He said as I sat on the counter.

"Due to an employee error, very expensive electronics are pricing out at 25¢. This mistake is being corrected, so... stock up quick!" He yelled.

"Go, go, go, go!" I rolled my eyes.

"You suck." I said as he turned towards me.

"What happened to you?"

"Multiple people ran over my hand with their carts and feet." I said.

"Let me look at it." He said as I held it out.

Garrett poked it with a pencil as I hissed out in pain.

"It's definitely broken." He said as I groaned.

"Yeah, you better hurry up, girl." He yelled making me jump.

"You better get that TV." He said as there was a gunshot.

"Sale's over!"

We all sat in the break room, Garrett was wrapping my hand so I didn't have to leave work.

He wrapped it a little too hard, causing me to jump and hissed.

"BLOODY HELL!" I yelped.

"Calm down Princess Lennon."

"There's no need to identify whoever it is whose fault this was. We can all learn a lesson here." Glenn told us.

"Would that lesson be not letting Jonah reprice inventory in the future?" Mateo asked as Garrett finished wrapping my hand.

"It might be, yes." Jonah looked at me.

"All right. Punctuality."

'I'm sorry' he mouthed as I went to sit beside Amy.

"I do not tolerate it, because I do not tolerate it in myself."

"Does someone have a crush on the new guy?" Amy smirked.

"No. And I'm seeing Marcus." I said.

"Let's always remember, the customer is always right."

Later on that day, I made my way through the store, when someone called out.

"Hey, Lennon, check it out." It was Jonah so I went over to him examining the cans.

"Ah. I was wondering what was taking so long to stack a few cans."

"I just... I wanted to reiterate how sorry I am about before and your hand." I rose my head.

"And when a customer wants a can of ginger root beer and the whole thing
collapses on top of them, how are you gonna feel then?" I asked.

He pointed to the sad face.
