(short chapter- but you'll love it)

I sat on top of the display case, as Amy stood behind it, we were having a Cloud 9 fashion show and Amy was mcing.

"Here we've got newcomer Mateo..." We all cheered.

"Sizzling in a fashion-forward take on Cloud 9 nightwear." I clapped.

"Work it, Mateo, and now we have Glenn, rocking the "Don't Let Him Near Your Children Collection"." Glenn wore a bear onesie.

"Oh, shake what the good lord gave you, Glenn, and here's Myrtle, carrying a bicycle tire." I laughed at the older lady.

"She doesn't seem to know what we're doing here, but she is owning it. Thank you, Myrtle." Amy said as we laughed.

Jonah put the camecorder he was filming with in Amy's face.

"So, Amy, how are you feeling?" I asked my best friend.

"I feel great." She said loudly.

"Oh, yeah?" Jonah and I tried not to laugh.

"Usually when I get drunk, I talk really loud, but I'm not doing it now."

"No, you're not!" I laughed.

"All right, everybody, up on your feet!"

I was making my way through the garden center, when I noticed Sandra at the top of a display stand.

"Sandra?" The woman looked down, relief on her face.

"Lenny! Someone took the ladder!"

"I'll be back." I went to the janitorial closet.

Grabbing the ladder, I made my way back to Sandra, and put the ladder up.

Holding it, Sandra made her way down, sighing in relief as her feet hit the floor.

"Thank you, Lenny." She hugged me.

In my drunken state, I stumbled back a bit.

"No problem." I smiled.

She immediately ran off, probably to the bathroom.

Shrugging, I made my way to the break room for some peace and quiet.

I sat on a table, rolling my neck to get the knots out, and then rubbed the spot to sooth the pain.

"Lennon?" I looked up to see Jonah at the door.

"Jonah, what's up?"

"I was looking for you, what are you doing in here?" He asked me.

"Just wanted some quiet." I replied.

Jonah sat down beside me.

We sat in silence for five minutes until I spoke up.

"I actually regret, making someone happy, even though it's making me miserable." I looked down.

"Who's the person, you are making happy?" Jonah asked.

"Dina, she has a huge crush on you. And I have to hide my feelings for you so she won't be hurt."

"The kiss it didn't mean nothing, it meant something." I looked up.

"I like you but--"

Jonah leaned over pressing his lips onto mine, which he seemed to do a lot.

I kissed him back, wrapping my hands around his neck.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

We pulled away, foreheads rested against each other's.

"Would you maybe want go on a date?" Jonah asked.

I chuckled.

"I would love too." I replied as his phone beeped.

Jonah sighed, taking out his phone to see a message from an unknown number telling him to meet them in the photo lab.

"You should see who it is." I said.

"Or we should stay and do this." He leaned in for another kiss but I pushed him away.

"Go. I'll see you after."

Jonah sighed.

"Fine." He quickly gave me a kiss before running off causing me to laugh.

Once it hit 6:00am the lights turned on and the doors unlocked.

I breathed in the fresh air, once Amy, Jonah and I walked out of the store.

It turned out to be Dina who texted Jonah, to show him the company policy that
relationships with supervisors and subordinates is strongly discouraged.

Since it wasn't forbidden anymore, it was good news for Jonah and I but not Dina.

"Oh, it is good to be outside." Garrett said.

"I'm gonna go home and play some video games." He rolled to his truck.

"I'm hungry." Cheyenne groaned.

"You want breakfast?" Mateo asked.

"My shift starts in 20. I can get you free coffee."

"Ooh, pancakes." The two linked arms walking away.

"I can't believe I have to take a midterm on zero sleep and totally hungover." Amy groaned.

"Want me to drive you home, so you can change then I can take you to class?" I asked.

"Yes, please." She went to my car as Jonah and I stopped.

I waited until she was in before speaking up.

"So when is this date Mr. Simms?" I asked.

"Tomorrow night, movie then dinner?" I nodded.

"Text you my address. See you later, Jonah."

I slowly made my way to my car.

"See you later, Lenny."
