The next day, I stood beside Cheyenne, who wrapped her arms around my arm.

Jonah and I came to work together, dropping me off down the street so no one would see us.

We were doing the open meeting and Dina kept on staring at Jonah who looked away uncomfortable.

"Can we please try and shoo the toddlers away from the sunglasses stand?" Glenn asked us.

"I know that's where they all like to go, but we're getting a lot of damage there." I side glanced at Jonah.

"Also from the lower yogurts. They tend to just want to put their fingers in." I grimaced.

"So, while we haven't caught the raccoon yet, I do feel that we're starting to have a better understanding of his patterns." Glenn started to get giggle.

"Moving on, one final announcement from Dina." Jonah and I looked at each other.

"Effective immediately, I will be stepping
down from my position of assistant manager to associate level so that I may concentrate on... personal matters." She looked at Jonah.

"Well, I think I speak for everyone when I say that's really, really sad. I know that I'm gonna miss your constant criticism of me a lot."

"I'm gonna miss that too." Dina agreed.

"Sure there's nothing we can say to make you stay?" Glenn asked not really meaning it.

"Well, you know, there's always..."

"Oh, too bad, so sad. Well, let's have an
extra fun chant." Glenn smiled as I looked at Jonah.

"Come on, give me a C!"

"C!" Everyone but Jonah and I cheered.

"Why can't I stop smiling?" Glenn asked a huge smile on his face.

I dragged Jonah into the changing room, right after the morning meeting.

"What're we going to do?" I asked biting my manicured nail.

"She demoted herself to be with you!"

"Babe. Calm down." Jonah cupped my cheeks.

"This will all blow over, OK? We're going to figure this out." I sighed.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive." He started leaning down.

I pushed him away.

"Dina's probably looking for you and if she sees us..."

"That wouldn't be bad..." I rolled my eyes.

"I can't wait all day to kiss you." Jonah pouted.

"Fine. Five minutes." Jonah's pout turned into a smile before pulling me in for a kiss.

We were now in the break room, getting ourselves coffee and everyone was talking about Dina.

"I can't believe she's stepping down." Cheyenne spoke after finishing her tube.

I looked at Jonah to see he had lipstick on his lips.

"Hmm. I wonder what her personal matters could be." Garrett wondered.

"Hey, Jonah. You got any ideas?" Jonah turned.

"Me? No, I don't... Mm-mm." He shook his head as I pointed to his lips and pulled out my lipstick.

"Are her birds okay? Has anybody checked
the live webcam?" Amy wondered as Jonah wiped his face.

"Maybe she has gambling debts and she had to take time off to do favors for the mob boss that she owes money to." Cheyenne suggested.
