Ashton.

Trying his best to be as quiet as possible, Ashton carefully shut the door behind him. He looked across the kitchen to see the stove top clock read 11:04. Shit. He was supposed to be home 7 hours ago when school got let out, but instead of obeying his fathers instructions, he went to Michael's house for band rehearsals. Just as he was about to go up the steps, he noticed his father sitting on the couch with a look of disappointment on his face. A look that he should be used to by now. "I don't know how I'm ever going to get your dumb ass to listen to me." His father laughed. Ashton clenched his fists trying not to let his anger get the best of him. "You'd think that after years of disappointing not only me, but your mother, you would try to straighten yourself out." Downing the rest of his whiskey his father got up from his seat and made his way toward his son. "When are you going to realize that your music shit isn't going to make a life for you. You aren't going to succeed in life being in a band. Why can't you do something great? Why can't you follow in my footsteps. I mean, look at me. I've got it all." Ashton scoffed, "I'd rather live on the streets then follow in your footsteps." "Keep doing what your doing and that's exactly where you'll end up kid. Just don't call me or your mother begging for our help. We won't be there." Before something bad happened, Ashton quickly made his way up the stairs and to his room. As he laid back into his bed, he could feel his body easing up. He needed to sleep. Without much resistance he drifted into sleep, letting his dreams be the only thing swirling in the mess of his mind.
