Eve and Fawn

Chapter 9

    They walk inside the hospital. Eve asks the front desk if they could let her in Fawns room. The lady says they have to wait 30 minutes.

    "30 minutes?!" Eve yells.

    "Well, we're gonna have to live with it," Matthew says.

    "Go wait in the waiting room," The lady says pointing to the waiting room.

    They walk to the waiting room, which is currently full. They both stand next to the wall instead.

    A little girl with blonde pigtails walks up to them and says, "Are you two dating?"

    They just look at each other with big eyes and then they look back at the girl.

    "Um, no. We're friends! Just...friends.." Eve says nervously.

    "Aw, you guys seem perfect together! Oh well." The little girl skips away.

    They both blush awkwardly.

    "Well THAT was weird..." Matthew says. Eve nods.

   

    After the 30 minutes, they are sent to Fawn's room. Eve opens the door.

    "Who is it?"

    "It's me, Eve."

    "Oh hey Eve!" Fawn says.

    Matthew comes in.

    "Hey bro," Fawn holds her fist out.

    "Hey, Fawn," Matthew fist bumps Fawn.

    "Guess what. I just woke up from a dream and do you want hear about it?" Fawn asks.

    "Go ahead," Matthew says.

    "Okay so I was in this land made of marshmallows and there was this HUGE pink unicorn as tall as the clouds! And then I thought it was a NICE unicorn! Well, not until it shot lasers at me. And then a grizzly bear bigger than the unicorn bit off it's horn and his head was bleeding! Then the unicorn fell on a little pregnant frog and a baby rabbit came out the frog's belly! And then the rabbit grew wings and blew fire at the bear and unicorn. And then the rabbit took me to a land made out of Oreos. And that's when I woke up."

    Eve has this weird look on her face.

    "If you think that story was weird, wait 'till you hear her at home," Matthew whispers.

    "Uh...that's an interesting..uh..dream," Eve says, "You do have a very creative mind anyway."

    "Yeah it was pretty crazy." Fawn says. Then starts to look sad.

    "What's with the long face?" Eve says.

    "Well..my family doesn't have enough money to afford all the medical bills, so I can't receive special medical treatment. So it's pretty hard to gather a lot of money..." Fawn says.

    "We can start a donation," Eve suggests.

    "R-really? Oh, you don't need to do that.."

    "Fawn, I think it's a good idea. It'll help our family a lot," Matthew says.

    "Thanks for the offer guys. OUR GOAL IS...$300!!" Fawn yells.

    "Got it!" Eve says.

    Fawn clutches her head from a headache. "Ugh, not again!" She rapidly presses a red button next to her and 10 seconds later doctors come in.

    "Come on we should go," Matthew says grabbing her hand, running out the door.
