"Why did you do that?" I asked.
"Do you want me to be honest?" Christian said.
I nodded slowly.
"Ever since I met you, I've loved you. I love you a lot. Brandon, well, I've been wanting to break up with him...he's a flirt with other people. He always looks at other girl's butts, hangs out with guys all the time, and once he even kissed a girl right in front of me."
I could see tears coming from his eyes. "Shhh..." I said quietly and hugged him. It was great. He held me and cried onto my shoulder. "I-I love you.." he said.
"I love you too."
--
After a few minutes, we walked back out there. I was kind of happy that Christian confessed to me, but one thing remained in my head.
He was still with Brandon.
We got into the car and Brandon kissed Christian.
Christian kind of didn't kiss back though.
"Brandon?" I said softly, tapping on his shoulder.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry for earlier...it was just...something that had me upset this morning..." I lied. Well, it wasn't really a lie because Christian and Brandon were hanging out a whole lot this morning.
"It's alright!" Brandon smiled.
But I could tell in his smile that it was fake.
And he didn't forgive me.
