The next day I decided to meet up with Christian at the mall after school. When we arrived, we went straight to Hot Topic.

"Ooh...this is cute! It'd be cuter on you!" he pulled out a gothic tutu and laughed.

"Not exactly what I'm looking for." I smiled.

"So explain. Why did you leave yesterday?" He asked.

"Long story..." I cleared my throat awkwardly.

He took my hand and brought me to a seat.

I looked at him, staring into his gleaming eyes. "It all started when my parents were introduced to drugs." I whispered. Christian stared at me in seriousness, listening closely. "My mom took about 50 ounces of heroin a day. My dad, smoked weed every second of the day. I always came home to a room full of smoke and laughter. This was when I was five." I paused, taking a deep breath. Christian was interested. I continued. "When I got older, my parents got alcohol obsessed. They would get drunk and beat me every minute they could. I would go to school with bruises and cuts. I added more pain with self harm." I started tearing up. Christian hugged me tightly. "Hey...you just shush." He said, smiling. "Let's have a few days together. If your parents even get close to you, I'll fucking slit them open." I smiled and whispered, "Thanks."

Christian grabbed my hand and ran into a jewelry store. "I don't like jewelry!" I laughed. "Too bad. I already bought us promise rings." Christian smiled. I gasped. My heart screamed. Promise rings?!

Christian slid a ring onto my ring finger. "Best friends?" He asked, matching his ring against mine. "Yes. Best friends." I grinned.

After shopping, Christian took me out to eat. We ordered. "I want Mac and cheese please." I looked up at Christian. "Boring!" I yawned. "I would like a cheeseburger with fries." I said proudly, giving him the menu. "I'm not boring." Christian laughed. "Yes you are!" I giggled. "Oh you wanna see how fun I am?" He smirked. "Prove it." I chuckled softly. He smashed his lips against mine, kissing passionately. I had no words. "See? Not boring." Christian flipped his hair. I gasped and smiled brightly. "Wow." I brushed my hair back and just stared at Christian.

I love him.
