she falls asleep on you

Your eyes opened wide when you felt the cold sheets where Sana usually lies instead of her warm arms, which is what you initially expected to roll into. You sat up and rubbed the sleep from your eyes before taking a look around the room for her, but you couldn't see her anywhere.

"Sana?" You mumbled sleepily, wondering if she was in the bathroom and she'd hear you and let you know she was okay. But there was no response and you began to feel worried.

Getting out of bed, you crept out of the bedroom and down the stairs. Halfway down, you were met with the sound of her giggling. The living room was lit up with the glow of the tv and you heard the dialogue of the film she was watching, recognizing it as her favorite one of all.

You padded down the stairs the rest of the way and your eyes locked with hers when you reached the bottom step.

"Y/n? What are you doing up, baby?"

"I'm wondering the same thing about you." You said as you walked to the sofa and plopped down beside her. "Sana, it's almost five in the morning. Why are you awake?"

"I woke up about twenty minutes ago and couldn't get back to sleep. I didn't want to wake you so I came down here and turned a movie on instead. Figured I'd entertain myself instead of toss and turn the rest of the night."

You didn't say a word back to her. Instead, you put your arm around her and pulled her close. Her head hit your chest and she looked up at you curiously.

"What are you doing?"

"I want to cuddle. Now hush and watch the movie."

You grabbed the blanket from the back of the couch and placed it over both of you. Your hand fell to her back and you moved your fingers in circles along her skin. She hummed contentedly, eyes slipping shut as she breathed out a soft sigh and cracked a tiny smile.

You knew it was only a matter of time until she'd fall back asleep. You knew by the look in her eyes before that she was still tired, just feeling restless and worried about disturbing your sleep. Soon, she'd melt into your touch and the kisses you were leaving on her head. But, for now, you were happy to sit on the sofa and watch her breathe and chuckle as the movie played.

But only fifteen minutes later, she was falling asleep again. Her eyes were too heavy to open and she was too relaxed from your touch to do anything but melt into it and the warmth of your arms.

"I love you." She mumbled sleepily.

"I love you too, Sana." You whispered, kissing her forehead lovingly. "Goodnight. Sweet dreams."

She didn't reply because she was already fast asleep. You loved the sight of her curled up in your arms, head on your chest, and took a few minutes to admire how precious and sweet she is before you fell asleep with your head resting on hers.
