Chapter 7

(Agent Topaz p.o.v). -A few hours later-

-My head was buried into my hands as I lean on my desk-

Assistant:"*Knock, Knock* sir?" -I hear the deer open the door-

-I look my my eyes dark as steaming cup of coffee beside me-

Agent Topaz:"Yes Cathy?" -I ask her-

Assistant:"The results have came back" -She said nervously-

-My eyes widen as I sit up-

Agent Topaz:"Go on" -I say fumbling with my thumbs with anticipation-

-She slowly places down the file-

Assistant:"They found some blood on where the creature landed after the blast" -She says stiffening up-

-My head lowers as I clench my fist-

Assistant:"It appears the creature survived the blast..." -She quietly says-

-I close my eyes letting out an exhale of fustration-

Agent Topaz:"And for the dead gang members?" -I ask raising my head once again-

Assistant:"Two dead during the shootout..., one bled to death before we arrived" -She quietly says with disappointment-

Assistant:"Other bounty hunters are thought to have been involved..." -She says thickening the investigation-

-Slowly pulling the file over I see pictures of the dead Wolves-

Agent Topaz:"And what about Andrew and Veronica?" -I ask holding my breath-

Assistant:"Both of them are in hospital but Veronica is in critical condition" -She says making me let out a sigh of relief-

Agent Topaz:"Good...., good..." -I say thinking long and hard-

Assistant:"You may also be happy to hear we have obtained two weapons belonging to the creature" -She says with a a smile-

-nodding my head I smirk -

Agent Topaz:"Send them to the Genesis labs" -I say waving my hand-

-I lean back in my chair tiredly rubbing my eye-

Agent Topaz:"Get officers to question the surrounding civilians maybe they might have seen something" -I begin to tell my assistant-

-Taking a deep breath I make a decision-

Agent Topaz:"And....., get Krya on the phone will you please?" -I say with defeat-

-The eyes on my assistant widen as she quickly nods walking away-

"He's not going to stop till someone like Krya makes him" -I think clicking the holographic monitor to call a blacklisted caller--

*Brr, brr......, brr brr, click*

???:"Yeah?" -A smooth femenine voice answers-

Agent Topaz:"I think you know why I'm calling...." -I coldly reply-

-A giggle comes from the female-

???:"I have a slight idea...."

Agent Topaz:"Come to my office when you can..." -I growl out-
