A heads up that readers should be aware of a panic attack coming up at the conclusion of the chapter.

Vinnie's P.O.V

[2 days later]

Intertwined on my bed, barely wearing clothing. My arms were wrapped around him in a tender hug, his head resting on my chest. His breath felt like a warm breeze on my skin, and his smoky eyes set alight a passionate flame in my heart.

"You're staring, you know." Leo teased.

Lips curled into a sly smile, I uttered the words, "Oh? Am I not allowed to?"

He replied, "Nope. Buy me dinner first."

I leaned closer, smile sharpening. "Dinner? I'm staring because you're already mine."

"You sure?" he posed the question.

I draped myself on top of him, trapping his arms in my grasp. His eyes widened in surprise. His breath almost audible as I leaned in close.

There was a fraction of a moment before our lips met. Just long enough to feel the pull, the tension. This wasn't a kiss. It was hunger. He was mine. His body, his breath, his thoughts. All of him. I released his arms. His hands roamed my bare torso, fingers trailing heat as they claimed me in return.

"Fuck," he murmured against my lips, his grip tightening in my hair as he pulled me closer, my cheek brushing the heat of his neck.

Every nip, every suck, every grinding push of his hips sent sparks bursting behind my eyes. Lust surged through me. Hot, fast, and all-consuming.
I paused, basking in his embrace, before stepping away. "Yeah, I'm sure."

Rooted to the spot as I walked past him to the bathroom.

When I came back, he hadn't moved. His eyes were still wide, lips slightly parted.

"Anyone home?" I waved my hand in front of his face, trying not to laugh

That broke the spell. He sat up fanning himself, a mix of confusion and frustration as he asked, "What was that? Why did you have to stop?"

"I had to take a leak. Now that I'm back, what do you think we should do today?"

He looked perplexed, his face a picture of adorable confusion. Seemingly out of nowhere, he exclaimed excitedly, "I've got it! I've got a great idea!"

"Go for it." I said.

"I could use your help taking out my cornrows. They're old."

"Sounds like a plan, let's watch in the living room while I do it." I suggested.

"Yes, anything to distract me from the tugging."

We put on our shirts and made our way down to the living room. I took a seat on the couch, while I passed him a comfy cushion to rest on the floor.

"Ready for me to work my magic."

"Oh, you know it, but I gotta get me some snacks before we get started." Leo said, going to the kitchen.

He returned with a bag of potato chips and plopped down in between my legs. Selecting a popular romantic comedy, I began to unravel his hair.

When the last cornrow came undone, he shook his head slightly, feeling the weight of his hair returning to its natural state.

He sighed with a mixture of relief and gratitude. "Finally. Thank you. You're a wizard."

I chuckled, gathering the loose hair into a neat pile. "Well, I do have my talents."
