nick pov

-

i woke up in a flash as i heard the knocking on the door become louder with each time the person on the other side knocked.

"hold on!" i called.

i sat up from the couch quickly and rubbed my eyes.

i opened the door slowly and was greeted with a short boy.

he looked to be a few inches shorter than me.

"does nick live here?" the british boy asked.

his voice was fimiliar.

no way this was george.

"this is him."

"nick? do you remember?"

"george?"i tilted my head at the british boy.

"oh my god. this is really you!" he ran into my arms.

"i have missed you so much, george. there wasn't a day where i stopped thinking of you." i held him close to me tightly.

"you know," he let go, leaving me confused, "it would suck if you woke up right now."

"what?" i stuttered out.

"wake up, nick." he looked at me dead in the eye.

.

"please wake up." someone cried as i stirred awake.

"what?" i looked around at the white room with screens looking at me, along with a familiar face.

"mom? where am i?"

i looked around to see two men sitting in chairs in the corner of the room.

the room was dimmed and i couldn't make out their facial features.

although, i could tell they were sleeping.

"you're in the hospital."

"what happened? who are they?" i pointed to the boys in the corner.

"you got in a car accident and have been in a coma for a little less than five months," she explained, "i assumed you were coming home from the store considering the crushed milk and eggs all over your car. and them, those are your friends that have come to visit you. clay and george i believe." she smiled.

george?

"what time is it?"

"it's june seventeenth, about midnight."

"oh."

"you remember george, right, nicky?" she smiled, "you really loved him. i could tell. you still hadn't moved on when you moved out." she laughed light-heartedly in an attempt to brighten the situation.

"i still love him dearly, if i'm honest." my breath hitched and i began to tear up.

"awe. he's here now. it's okay, right?" she rubbed my cheek.

"yeah."

"sap?" a familiar voice whispered from the corner.

"dream?" i looked to the corner to see a figure getting up carefully, not to wake up the boy i presumed to be george.

"oh my god, dude. are you okay?" he walked to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"yeah. i feel fine. you know george?"
