Chapter 27

Luke came home to a silent house that day, making him scared for his family. 

'I'm home!' He called placing a hand on his dagger. Luckily, Percy came down in time showing that they were all safe. 

'What happened? why is it so quiet?' Luke asked.

When Percy stayed quiet, Luke decided to guess the answer, 'You fought with the kids?'

Percy sighed and gave a small nod.

'What happened?' Luke asked.

'I'll tell you later, go and change your clothes, I'll serve dinner' Percy answered avoiding the question.

Luke furrowed his eyebrows and tempted to say no and ask Percy to tell him what happened, but he decided against it and did as Percy told.

When Luke came to the table. He saw that his daughter was missing. He looked at Percy for an answer, but Percy just avoided his gaze. 

'I'll call her' Luke stated before going up to his kid's bedroom.

'Zoe?' He called knocking on the door. 

'What?' Came a muffled answer.

'Come, we're eating dinner' Luke called.

'I don't want to!'

'Why? Please just open the door, and we can talk about what happened' Luke suggested.

No reply came but after a few seconds, the door swung open, 'Is he here?' Zoe asked.

'Who?' 

'Papa' Zoe grumbled.

'No, he is downstairs, serving dinner' Luke replied confused as to why she was so mad at Percy.

'Ok, come in' Zoe sighed letting him in and closing the door. 

'So, would you like to explain me as to why you are so mad at Papa?' Luke asked.

'Well, I... I have a date on Friday, and Papa scolded me for that' Zoe said looking at anything but her dad.

'You have a...date?' Luke asked his eyebrow raised.

'...Yes' Zoe answered.

'Where will you go?' Luke asked trying to not go off at his daughter.

'The park' Zoe replied.

'What will you do?'

'Eat sandwiches' 

'I will talk to your Papa, so now come down to eat dinner' Luke said.

'But-' 'No buts Zoe, you want to go, you come down' Luke said before walking out of the room.

Zoe grumbled before following him.

Percy watched as Luke and Zoe came down and sat at the table. They all ate quietly. All of them felt the tension in the air. 

Luke finally decided to break it. 

'So, Zoe has a date on Friday' 

'Yes, one which she will not be going to' Percy said glaring at Zoe.

'Percy...' Luke said holding Percy's hand under the table.

'Why can't I go? How old were you and dad when you both started dating?!' Zoe shouted at Percy.

'Zoe!' Luke said in attempt to calm down his daughter.

'We were definitely older than you!' Percy defended. They were in fact not much older than her, they were thirteen when they went on their first date, crushing on each other since they 12. 

'Both of you, stop fighting!' Luke shouted.

Zoe grumbled getting up from her chair and glaring at her brother, 'This is your fault' She snapped at him before going back to her room. 

'Don't shout at your brother like that!' Percy shouted but only got a door getting slammed as a reply.  

Charlie looked at his food biting his lip before getting up and going to his room.

'Percy...' Luke started but Percy also got up and went to his room. 

Luke stared as his family broke apart.

A goddess in Tartarus smiled as the family broke up.

The end was near.

The end is near, just a few more chapters before I kill- Ok! I should seriously do something about this, I just can't keep giving you spoilers you know!
