"Mad why are you carrying around all that cash," Frank asked grimly once they'd gotten in the car.

"Um...I asked them to pay me in cash since I don't have a bank account."

"You shouldn't be walking around with that much cash, especially in your neighborhood."

"What exactly is that supposed to mean, Mr. Iero," she asked smirking.

"Nothing I just...it's not...," he stuttered, "It's just not safe."

She laughed at his frustration. She placed her hand casually on his arm that was resting on the middle console. "You worry about me too much." She meant it but she wasn't complaining. "I promise as soon as I get my id from the F.B.I. and everything is confirmed I will call you so you can take me to the bank okay?"

Frank had to smile at his own fatherly attitude. "Deal. So are you tired or could you come hangout with me and the guys for a little while."

"Hanging out sounds nice."

"So the mystery is solved? Where've you been for the past 5 years?"

"Gerard," Frank scolded, upset by his lack of tact.

Gee was glad that Madison at least seemed to have a sense of humor as she laughed. "Not quite but I'm sure it will happen by next week and we can all move on with our lives," she joked.

"I think what my brother meant to say was how did the doctor's appointment go," asked Mikey.

"It went well...I think," Madison paused, "I'm not sure what was supposed to happen but I guess it went okay."

Ray smiled at her reassuringly.

"So listen people we need to go out tonight," Gerard proposed suddenly, "We've been working really hard and I think we deserve a break."

"Sorry it will have to be a guys' night. I have to work tonight," Madison said.

"What'd you have in mind?"

"Well since it's going to be a guys' only night," Gerard began mocking Madison's choice of words, "I was thinking we could head to that new place Flesh.

Madison somehow choked on her own spit and began coughing manically. Frank instinctively began patting her back.

"Isn't that a strip club," asked Bob.

"Yeah it's a new one. It's supposed to be really classy and the girls are supposed to be gorgeous."

Madison gasped deeply to try and catch her breath as she continued to cough.

"Are you okay," asked Mikey looking genuinely concerned.

Madison couldn't answer she just nodded her head and tried to breathe as Frank went to go get her some water.

"I'm in," said Bob.

"Yeah I guess I am too," Ray commented.

"I don't know," Mikey began, "I don't think Alicia would be too happy about that."

Gee rolled his eyes. "You aren't married yet little bro. Come on you don't have to do anything if you don't want. There's nothing wrong with looking as long as you don't touch. Although if you want to touch I'm sure none of us would tell on you," he quipped.

The other boy joined in trying to convince Mikey to go with them.

Frank returned and Maddy smiled at him gratefully for the water.

"Guys, I don't think we should going to strip clubs," said Frank sitting back down, "They degrade women besides I don't care how 'classy' it's supposed to be a strip joint is a strip joint and they're all sleazy. Let's do something else."

This time Gerard rolled his eys so deep they almost got stuck in the back of his head. How did he get stuck becoming friends with these losers? Well Mikey was kind of his brother but Frank concerned about how strip clubs objectify women? Then he looked at Madison and then and Frank and then at Madison again. Then he understood, of course Frank wouldn't want to admit to going to a strip club in front of Madison. For some reason, that Gerard couldn't understand, Frank was obsessed with being a hero and role model to her, and strip clubs definitely didn't factor in to either one of those. "Fine than do you guys have any suggestions?"

"How about cards," Ray suggested, "Or are you still refusing to play since the last time I kicked your ass?"

A smirk spread across Gerard's face. "Obviously we need to play again if you've dilluded yourself into believing that you ever beat me."

Madison's body gradually unclenched as the fear of the boys finding out about her job seemed to subside.

"You'll have to teach me how to play sometime," Madison said innocently.

"I will," Gerard answered but what he wanted to teach her was not so innocent.
