Serkan's "first" day back to work passed by quickly and he really immersed himself into work. He missed it a lot. When he got home, he started to feel signs of tiredness manifesting on his being. He went upstairs for a shower, then cooked something to eat and then called his mother to check up on her. Or maybe let his mother check up on him. When they hung up the call, it was over 9:30pm and Serkan was very tired. He felt the sleep kick in and it didn't take 5 minutes laying in bed to fall asleep.

Eda had dreamed again. And that's why she's awake at 5:30 in the morning, not being able to sleep in again. She went downstairs to make herself a cup of coffee. This dream was different than the others.
She found herself in what looked like a mansion, a big airy mansion somewhere near the coast. She was in a long rectangular room that looked more like a corridor than any type of room. The place was empty, except for curtains floating around the long single room. The windows and doors were all open, letting the breeze fully in and there were pillars, greek style, spread around the room giving a feeling that she was at some sort of greek temple. She could feel the ocean breeze in her face, she was wearing a fluttering long white dress and she was barefoot, feeling the coldness of the floor. A silhouette appears on the extreme opposite side of the room. A male silhouette between the curtains. He was also wearing white, a white shirt and beige shorts. She recognized him, the messy auburn red hair that was unforgettable to her. He starts to walk towards her direction and she automatically do the same. His semblance is indecipherable. As they're face to face, she hesitantly touches him, his face aloof. He was still there. She touched him and he didn't disappear, he was still there. She felt her chest be filled with joy, and cup his face with both her hands, uniting their foreheads for a moment. When they take a little distance anymore, he's staring at her serenely. And with that same serene expression, he asks: "Who are you?"
She had woken up shaken, scared he would never remember her again. She never allow herself to fully think about it. About what would be of them, of her, if he never remembered again. But she refused to feed onto negativity, and quickly brushed this thought off. After all, he had told her "If I was born a hundred times, I'd fall in love with you all hundred times again."

Eda wasn't the only one sleepless or having cryptic dreams. Serkan slept peacefully during the first hours of his sleep, but late in the night he started to feel his body restless. He dreamed with the woman in the field of tulips again. Except this time he saw her face clearly.
He was back at the place that's been his subconscious self's home. He already knew how this dream would start and end. He looked around, but this time he didn't see anyone but him. Where was she? He looked down, to the tulips. They were really pretty. He involuntarily took one hand to caress the flower's petal, but it repelled him with an electric flick. Followed by a memory of him. He couldn't recognize it, but this time the memory gave him more than a second to situate himself. He was at an open sky, watching the shooting stars. As he turned his face to his side, there she was. Eda. She was watching the stars with him, and then she looked at him with the most beautiful smile. He's back to the field of tulips. What was that? Involuntarily his hand touches another tulip, and he feels another flick. With another memory. With Eda again. Both of them at the warehouse where his late brother's stuff was kept. She was leaned on a stool while he... played her the guitar? Playing the guitar has always been something so intimate and private to him, he's never done in front of anyone. Except her. Then the image jumps to them in front of her aunt's house, he hands her his guitar pick and she's so happy about it. His sight is suddenly filled with tulips again. He tries to move, walk, overwhelmed, but his hand touches another flower and another flick comes. They were on a balcony, it seemed like an empty house. He recognized his own voice saying "Teşekkürler Eda Yildiz" and hers saying "Teşekkürler Serkan Bolat, for giving me the most unforgettable weeks of my life". He pushes her for a hug, and that's where the memory ends. He bumped on another flower, another flick came. His mother, Seyfi and Eda standing in front of his apartment door. Aydan hugs both Eda and Serkan. She's babbling something he can't understand. Another flower, another flick. They were at an elevator and he kisses her. He's breathing heavily, trying to avoid touching any more flowers cause he was beyond overwhelmed. But somehow he touches another tulip, and the flick brings another memory to him. He found himself at a... skating rink? An orange beanie entered his sight and its owner was noone other than Eda. They were smiling, skating through the snow falling. He's back on the field. He has both hands on his head, not just to try not touching any other flower, but also because he was sure he was losing his mind. When he calms down a little is when he sees her. The woman that's been his company on these fields. She's spinning around the flowers, apparently smiling. She perceives he is staring at her in curiosity and starts walking towards him. He involuntarily walks towards her, too. As he gets closer, he recognizes her. The one that's been dominating his memory. Eda.
He's woken up dizzy and sweating, with his heart beating so fast he thought he'd have a heart attack. He grabbed the cup of water on his bedside table and took a sip, hoping he would calm down. He peeped the clock and it was almost 5 in the morning, it was still early for him to be up. Sadly, he perceived he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep as his mind kept winding back all the memories of his dream.

Another busy day at ArtLife headquarters, but none of the bosses were with a happy face. Their sleepless night had earned them a big grumpy face, so no surprise everyone at the office was lowkey trying to avoid them today. Especially Serkan. They knew to not pass near his eyesight when he was on a bad day, especially the new "old Serkan". It was all surprisingly quiet, considering the mood of their CEO's, the amount of work done and pressure on everybody at that office. But as they say, there's always calm before the storm...

A/N: You must be wondering, dear reader, what's with the tulips? Just a quick fun fact: tulips are Eda's favorite flower. This is why he's been dreaming about a field of tulips. 🌷
