He was halfway the stairs when Engin called him saying the food had arrived. "Piril nerde?", he realizes the redhead wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Oh, something came up at the company and she had to go," Engin sees Serkan grab the car keys and quickly blocks his passage. "Ama you will stay. No work today. Hadi, come eat!" Serkan gives the keys to its owner and sits on the kitchen stool. "Wallah, can't believe you barely came out from a plane accident and all you think of is work." Engin says, between bites.

Night falls and Eda's heart is in pieces. She's finally let Melo, Ceren and her aunt in. They're now sitting in her bed, while she has her head on Melo's lap. She has been crying for the whole day, she doesn't know how she still had water on her body. Melo is caressing her hair, trying to calm her down about Serkan's memory loss. "He will remember, Dada. Just wait a little, tamam?" She found it hard to keep hoping. Aydan hanim had sent her a message earlier saying they tried to fill in a couple of gaps to Serkan but they couldn't do much without her. She asked if Eda could sit and talk to him for a little, maybe if he gets the pieces together he will start remembering. But she had told the woman not today. She couldn't see him today. Aydan said they'd have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and sent her the hospital address in case she wanted to go too. She preferred to go to work, instead.

For the first night in weeks, Serkan had a calm and serene sleep. Maybe it was because he was in his comfortable bed instead of sleeping in the dirt of the woods. Or it could be because of the fact he didn't dream at all. He didn't dream about the woman in the field of tulips and he didn't know if he should be relieved or not. Maybe he was too tired, he really slept like a stone and he didn't even hear his alarm that was set at 7am. It was now 10am and he's only standing ready in his clothes cause Seyfi arrived with the grocery and poked him until he woke up. He gave a last glance at his reflection in the mirror and went downstairs to find his mother sitting on the couch patiently waiting for him. "Anne?" Aydan turns to him with that motherly reprehensive look. "About time, Serkan Bolat! I had to reschedule the doctor's appointment for 10:30am cause you missed the call at 8!" Oh no, the doctor. He knew he was forgetting about something. "I'm sorry, annecim. I really slept like a stone." Aydan nods and says: "I could see, Seyfi had a hard time waking you up." They engage in a random conversation about work and Aydan hanim's worries about her son going back to the rush so soon as they eat a quick breakfast before leaving to the hospital.

"Tamam, Serkan bey? Don't force too much, but you family," the doctor pointed at Aydan, and continued: "and his friends need to keep triggering his memory. Keep talking, remembering him of things that happened, key moments, key memories. It's a temporary loss, but we cannot point exactly how temporary will it be. Can be days, weeks, months..." Serkan was kinda relieved, but he still had his doubt. He didn't wanna stay in the dark forever, but just the thought of being like that for a considerably long time had him scared. It was awful being in the dark. "But he will remember, right?" Aydan asked and the doctor quickly reassured the worried mother. "He is already," then turned to Serkan. "You said you had images popping in your mind yesterday, right? At certain places, certain memories... if they're strong and important, they will come back to you," the doctor alternates between looking at him and his mother. "This is why I said it's important for him to gather as much information he can about what happened, so when these flicks of memory appears, he can connect them to what you told him. And with that, more neurological connections will be rebuild and he can remember more, and more until the link expands and he fully remembers everything." They finished the appointment and Aydan was feeling lighter, and hopeful. She quickly messaged Eda with the news and asked Seyfi to take them to the drugstore so she could buy the medicine the doctor prescribed to Serkan. "Anne, don't worry. I can go! I'll pass by on my way to work, tamam?" Aydan turns to him, ready to complain again. "But son, you can't go to work yet. You heard the doctor, rest!" He had already gone through that subject during breakfast, so he sighed. "Anne, you know I can't stay home when I feel perfectly fine. And maybe I can remember more while at work too, tamam? I will be fine." Aydan is not convinced, but she knows she can't make her son change his mind. "Tamam, anything you feel, even a bad headache, call me! Tamam?" She asks and he reassures her he's fine and whatever he feels he will let her know. Serkan says goodbye to his mother and Seyfi and hops on his convertible car on his way to ArtLife. First day of work, again.
