The Mysteries of the House- Flicker

Part 9: ...You better plug in all your nightlights.

Rosalie's POV: 

Dan is alive! I'm really glad to hear he's alive, and nobody else is gonna suddenly die or anything. Because the last two times somebody was healed, people still died! This time there shouldn't be any problems. Suddenly, I hear Mary screaming. Is she hurt? I run downstairs and she dashes out of the laundry room. "Help! There's a- Sui- Just look!" She pushes me in. Geez, what's wrong. Then I realize what's wrong. You know, now that there are less of us, it's easier to realize that there are less people. I had that feeling even after I saw Dan alive, and I was right. Adanna hung herself in the closet... 

 "Adanna died from mysterious circumstances. The person who killed her hung her in the closet. The investigator believes Veronica is evil." The others rush into this horrible scene. Why would she- Oh. It was because of Chidi. Why did I even ask myself this? Everybody is crying, and Joshua finally picks up her journal.

 "Me and my brother Chidi are in a killing game! I hope we both live. I'm apparently a survivor. Update: Dashawn is dead! What are we gonna do? Update: I haven't wrote in this in a while, but Chidi has proof Alec is the assassin! I'm really happy he's here to help us!" That's the end of Adanna's useful cheerfulness. After this, the writing is thicker, darker, sharper lines that were clearly made with force, and the page has multiple stains from tears all over it. "No. No. No no no no no no NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. WHY. WHY DOES MY SUFFERING CONTINUE. WHY COULDN'T I DIE. I'M NOT USEFUL. I DIDN'T HELP ANYONE. I KILLED OUR SPY AND OUR MEDIC IS GOING TO DIE. I RUINED EVERYTHING. IT'S TIME TO PAY FOR MY FAILURES AND GO TO HELL LIKE I DESERVE TO. GOODBYE EVERYBODY. FROM, ADANNA."

My mouth is just gaping in shock after the end of it. She really though we all hated her? I understand her grief from when my mom died, and I was very angry during those times and made some choices on a whim. We just stand there until Charlotte takes her body off of the cord. It makes us feel better, and Veronica suddenly inhales sharply. 

 "Ok, I know none of us are in the mood to discuss, but Minji is the witch." That sudden claim makes us all stand there in silence before processing it. Minji quickly reacts. "Why me? The investigator has their own suspicion on you!" Viola nods.  Then Kim-ly speaks. " Yeah, your pulling some trick to get one of us out!" Cactus plays the bongos in the background to accompany the intense scene.

Veronica seems to just panic and run away. We all just sit around. Welp, that happened. "Well, guess the tension of being exposed got to her." Kiryomi look like she wants to inhale cyanide gas. We all just slowly walk away from Adanna's body and leave the room. This sure is hell.

Kim-ly's POV: 

That little bitch! I'm glad that Veronica's getting the boot tonight. I'd die for Minji. Anyways, I'm really happy I found who the killer is. I won't tell the others when I get caught though. Suddenly, Albert approaches in a panic. "Guys, I found a clue of who the murderer is. There was some blue jean fabric in the closet where Melodie's body was found!" We all come and observe. Charlie makes a face that shows he's thinking.

"So that means the suspects are me, Elizabeth, Joshua, Minji, Ally, Alicia, Cash, Cactus, and Viola, right?" I see he's on the right track. I wish I could tell him that I bugged Dan last night and knew exactly who tried to kill him. Of course, I add another suspect who isn't the killer. "Mary, too. And I don't think it's Minji!" The others nod. "But of course," Mila adds, "We already agreed on voting Veronica." Cody seems to agree. Suddenly, the dreaded voice returns. "You must vote now." I vote Veronica for obvious reasons. Charlotte looks like her lip is bleeding, and as expected, "Veronica had the most votes." Veronica is brought into the ceiling , suddenly a metal pole lowers back down into the room. But this time, it's gone directly through Veronica's body! Suddenly the pole begins to spin, and the speaker sings, "SOMEBODY COME GET HER, SHE'S DANCING LIKE A STRIPPER! SOMEBODY COME GET HER, SHE'S DANCING LIKE A STRIPPER! SOMEBODY COME GET HER, SHE'S DANCING LIKE A STRIPPER." Finally it stops and Cash reads the journal.

"I'm the detective. I got witched the first night. At least one of these players is good: Alec, Cody. At least one of these players is evil: Joshua, Albert, Mary. At least one of these players is evil: Charlotte, Jean-Claude, Kim-ly. At least one of these players is good: Mary, Cactus. At least one of these players is evil: Elizabeth, Minji, Jojo. OMAR'S JOURNAL SAYS MINJI VISITED ME THE FIRST NIGHT SHE'S THE WITCH! AND NOW SHE FUCKING WITCHED ME AGAIN I HATE HER!" Damn, looks like she's been exposed. Sucks, we were partners in crime ever since I found out her role after Colleen died. 

We all back away from Minji. "Yes, everybody, I am evil. I'm sure you're happy to hear this, and goodbye too my evil friend I also met who is currently still among you. Have fun seeing me be executed tomorrow night." She walks away, and the lights turn out again. Damn, why do the lights go out so quickly know? Anyways, I hide in the closet with Melodie's body (Because why not), and when the lights are back, I purposely kick her body a bit, and am delighted to see Zahrah quickly show us where Dan's eyeless corpse is. 

Ah, it's good to be a scout.
