[2 weeks have passed since the first day and the sponsor's visit]
[September/20/20]

I opened my eyes and see the blank dark ceiling once again, the cold was unbearable so I turned off the A/C immediately, I walked to the bathroom again and did my daily routine but the difference this time. "It's a weekend" often people will get excited about the weekends but for me.

it'll be another torturous day of nothing but nagging and me being compared to my little sister, I didn't hate her, she's just doing her thing but I hated the ones around me for expecting the same.

I splashed water all over my face then I heard 2 voices shouting from outside my house "Nick?"

It was 6 in the morning in 0-degree weather, I grabbed my black sweater and placed my banda in my pockets, I won't be practicing my violin today, I looked outside my window and saw the two.

George was wearing a yellow sweater while Clay was wearing a grey hoodie. my eyes lt up as I saw them my lips curled up into a smile, I immediately went down and grabbed my skateboard as I walked out of the house without waiting for anyone to send me off

I walked out of the gates and heard the door creaked back open "Be back by 5... you'll need your practice, right? Nicholas." he said as he stared daggers at me

George and Clay weren't happy with him but they didn't react, I nodded "Y-yes dad"

"Not for long," he said before going back inside the house

I grabbed my skateboard tightly as I felt the squeezing feeling again like I was being caged into my own mind, I turned my look back at the two, George rubbed the back of his head as he gave me a sideways glance, "so, we're gonna ask you if you wanna go somewhere with us" he said with a wry smile on his face.

I wore my white bandana and nodded "of course!"

we were gonna walk past in the park that has a lot of legends, but George stopped us "you two already walked past that place once, you really wanna push your luck huh?"

Clay smirked as he stared at George dead in the eyes "I don't know.... maybe I do maybe I don't, plus it's a faster way"

George rubbed the bridge of his nose "Spare me the death flag we'll go the long way since I'm gonna meet somewhere around these parts, it's not like you'll go into the rich area every day for no reason"

"rich area?" I mumbled under my breath, We continued walking down the path that I took daily since I don't wanna go back to the park for some random reason.

"hmm, hey look it's a candy shop" Clay exclaimed I looked around and saw an oldies-style house with a retro theme poster outside

"Hey guys look it's a big mac truck that's in a garage!!!" the two looked around the house confusedly, "a what?" Clay looked at me funny

"uhh, what's that thing called again?" I pointed at the object inside their garage "you mean an arcade machine?" George replied. Clay laughed like a kettle "HAHAHA!! GEORGE! NICK!? WHAT?!" he looked at us as both, George chuckled but his stoic face remained.

we looked around the candy shop and checked the shelves, Clay grabbed a number of candy from peppermints to whole stacks of candy bars, he was waiting by the desk that seems to be the register's area "hey guys hurry up!" he said with a smirk on his face "alright alright geez"
George replied to Clay's call out.

I grab a single candy bar and placed it beside Clay's stacks of sweets.

George on the other hand placed three pints of ice cream with different flavors.
