As I opened my eyes I felt the heaviness of my responsibilities like it's pressing against my chest, heavily, crushingly, I felt my eyes tearing up as I sat up, I let out a dry cough I began sobbing.

I grabbed the remote for my A/C and turned it off, I felt my eyes heavy and I didn't even notice that the sun hasn't come up yet, I stood up barely and felt the cold floor hitting against my feet, I made my way to the bathroom, the cold tiles made me shiver a bit.

I did my business and stared at the mirror, my hair was unkempt and messy, my eyes look tired, my tanned complexion looks paler than usual since I'm not eating much, I splashed water over my face and stared at the shower, the showerhead dripping water was dripping of water, the collision of the droplets with the cold tiles feels deafening.

I decided not to take a bath for another day... It wasn't worth it, I wouldn't be as good as they thought I'd be.

I looked at my new uniform and splashed some perfume on it, I took off my pajamas and put them on, as I was about to leave the room, I stared at the doorknob and the voices of my family starts ringing on my head.

"Your 7 years old sister is better than you'll ever be and you're already 17!"
"What a disgrace for someone coming from a family of violinists."
"you disgrace the family name you good for nothing parasite!"

"I know that!" I muttered to myself, I looked around and saw my Violin's case.

I slowly walked up to it and wore it over my shoulder, I looked out my window and saw the black's sky starting to get painted with a light blue hue, "I should get going."

maybe I can find a place to rest at school, then before I exited the room I saw my Bandana lying on the floor, I grabbed it and placed it in my pocket.

I walked out of my room and by coincidence has it, my father was just getting out of their room as well, "G-good morning D-" He walked past by me with a few words "If you screw up this competition never call me your father ever again."

I felt like something was tugging inside my chest, I felt my chest get crushed by even more weight.

I bit my lip, as I walked down the stairs, My sister walked out of her room "GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FIRST DAY BIG BRO!!!"

I gave her a warm smile "I will! thanks, Lily!" She waved me goodbye, as I left my home, I grabbed my scarf and sweater on the wooden rack by the door and left without another word.

the cold breeze was penetrating but I'm glad I was wearing my extra layer of clothes.

I walked down the path nearest to the school, the path to a park that has accumulated a lot of superstitions, as the rumors go, if you walked down this path alone you'll die when you meet your lover, or if you have a lover and both of you walked down that path the person that doesn't actually love the other will die.

but if you ever meet your lover within that path... both of you are bound to die before the year ends.

I gulped as I stared at the cracked pavement with yellow and orangish leaves covering the entrance to the park, I looked around and there was nobody around the place, I stepped inside and walked in 5 steps, the eerie feeling went away, the place was untouched.

for a park, it was run down, but for a forest... It can pass as a mini forest, I looked around the trees and found a perfect place to play my violin

I hanged the case on a branch and walked to the center of the trees with my violin and bow at hand, I had the bow on my neck as I tuned the Violin's strings, after tuning I inhaled and placed the bow on the violin's strings

I pulled down the bow and began playing La Campanella by Paganini, the tunes began flowing like a piercing wind that could penetrate through somebody as a whole.

the golden and crimson-colored leaves flowed down around me like roses being thrown in a performance.

I stopped midway, I felt like I was never good enough to play this piece again, "Stupid fingers! Stupid violin! stupid family!" I sat on the grass with my violin in my hand, my eyes began to water as I looked down, I sighed

but not so far around me, I heard something slipped "ack!" My eyes narrowed as I looked around "w-who's there?" Crap I'm stuttering!

I stood up and saw somebody lying on a pile of grass, I walked up to him "H-hello?"

I offered him a hand and he looked at me, with bright eyes, eyes that haven't given up yet.

He took my hand and dusted his uniform, smiled at me "Thanks, dude! I heard your performance" He looked away with a smile on his face "kinda embarrassing to say in person but you're really good!"

I chuckled "I-it's n-nothing much I can play more stuff than that"

Then I noticed we're wearing the same uniforms, "H-hey it looks like we're attending t-the same school!"

he looked at my uniform with a curious gaze "oh neat! wanna walk together?"

I smiled and nodded, I packed my instrument and walked beside him with a warm silence between us.

we walked down the path to the park's exit.

the residential area unfolded as we get nearer to the school that we'll be attending, it was a grey colored school that has 5 floors and a clock tower on the front with trees on the sides.

we walked in the large gates of the school and walked down the path of trees with a fountain midway the path, it was a gorgeous

I didn't notice this guy's features when we first met, but now that I'm looking at him he's 5 inches taller than me and I'm 5'10, he has dirty blonde messy hair he also has green eyes that has a bluish tint on it, his smiles shine like the sun.

I didn't realize it but I was also smiling whenever he smiled, his friend appeared out of nowhere. he's brunette and slim, he's good looking and is a bit shorter than I am

"George!!!" He hugged his friend "Alright clay! oh, who's your new friend?"

I waved at him with a wry smile on my face, Clay or what his name was, pulled me closer to him "I met him by the [Inaudible] Park!!!"

George gave me a shocked look "and how did you meet exactly?" Clay shrugged "what's his name then, Clay?" George gave Clay a displeased look "he hasn't told yet"

I looked at them both "I-i'm N-nick... Nick [Static]"

George looked at me like he's inspecting for something "that name sounds familiar though" he shrugged "well let's get to our classes then! before we get scolded big time"

I nodded, Clay let go of me, I felt sudden loneliness but I didn't let that bother me... too much.

I switched to my indoor shoes and headed to my homeroom, "Class 1-C?" I was walking around the 2nd level then there I saw the room.

The moment I stepped in my lips curled up into a smile, Clay and George were in there too.
