MAGGIE couldn't understand what made Sirius Black so special. In fact, to the blue-eyed girl, he was the biggest prick to set foot in this world.
Okay, she wouldn't deny that he had good looks and a small fortune to his name, but other than that, what special thing did he have that made girls swoon and fall at his feet?
It possibly couldn't be worth a heartbreak.
He was an arse and a bully, seeking trouble in every corner and picking girls as they were a meal choice.
The worse of all was that people praised him all around, hell — her parents were in that lot. Everyone blessed the ground he walked on.
Margaret Potter hated Sirius Black.
Unfortunately for the young witch, the boy had chosen as his best friend no other than her older brother, James Potter. And as the two boys got closer — because even she would admit it, they made a great team for trouble — she found herself not only sharing her school house's common room with the grey-eyed boy, but also her entire summers and eventually her lovely home.
Just as she watched him graduate from Hogwarts, thinking that her problems were finally over, she found herself sharing once again the secret order she had joined.
A year later, tired yet hopeful to finally have school over with, Sirius Black was chosen yet again as the best man of her brother's wedding.
By now she had had no other choice but to come to terms with the idea that she was not getting rid of the boy anytime soon, so she somehow learned to cope with his presence. She established a formal relationship with him — nothing too personal that would jeopardize her already built opinions on Black.
At least now they spoke, James Potter thought. And indeed they did, even though Sirius would use every living second to taunt the witch.
Then, he was formally made family to her and James. How? Well, he was chosen as the godfather of James and Lily's baby.
Great, now she also had to share her nephew! And to her incredible luck, Harry — the baby — was entranced by Sirius just like everyone else was too.
Sirius had won time and time again, and Maggie wasn't at all okay with it.
But now, oh would she have wished to have been content.
