A long slow week had passed after the incident where faults were thrown and cries were made. Now, Sirius and Maggie could barely look at each other in the face, in fact, the loathing and tension was so much they had made a silent agreement of not being in the same room together.
Maggie was down in the kitchen one sunny morning when a letter arrived attached to a small brown owl that hooted happily. The letter was addressed to her with the most elegant handwriting possible.
She knew right away who's it was. How could she not when she had seen it time and time again in school notes and being practiced over parchment?
The letter said:

The letter was sweet and Alice had made sure not to mention James' or Lily's name in an attempt to not upset Maggie, and the blue-eyed witch appreciated it a lot.
Alice had also been correct on another issue, it was true that during the last week, both Sirius and she had received multiple letters from people showing their regards, some of who had never even met Maggie.
