IT had been so long, felt like an eternity ago, since Sirius and Margaret had been on their own in this big house, that neither had expected for the time to arrive again so suddenly. Margaret had woken up one early January morning, the world outside tainted in falling white snow, to find a group of baggage sitting next to the stairs' feet. She looked at it for a second, very confused, only to then rush into the kitchen fuming like a madwoman.

How come Remus and Cyrah were going to leave? With little to no notice? She wasn't prepared, not yet.

They all were sitting at the breakfast table inside the kitchen, and what seemed like a fairly peaceful morning was cut abruptly as all three other adults looked up at Margaret storming in. Before Margaret could even begin to complain, Cyrah was already wearing an apologetic look in her face.

Margaret could tell that Sirius too wasn't fond of the idea of their their friends departure, his lips tight and a distant look in his face. It seemed to work as motivation for Margaret to try to convince the pair otherwise. She couldn't let them leave. There was just too much at risk.

The witch would agree that what was mostly pushing her refusal to let her friends go was because she just couldn't remain here with Sirius. Alone. Last time had been a disaster to say the least. Who knew what would happen this time around? Did they really want to find out? Because she was sure she did not.

"Must you really leave? Stay for a little longer," the witch pleaded. The breakfast table was now reigned by a series of discussions and pleads that felt as if they were leading nowhere really. Couldn't they understand just how much Margaret needed them to stay?

Remus was finishing his morning tea. He and Cyrah had agreed to have one last breakfast before parting their ways. "Maggie. Cyrah and I have stayed for more time than it's desired. The new year has arrived, your birthday has passed..., really, the time has come." The werewolf explained with a warm smile. He didn't like to say goodbye either, but at some point they all had to move forward with their lives. He had to start looking for a job, maybe even sell his old apartment. Remus couldn't stay at Potter's Estate for all eternity, no matter how good that idea sounded.

"I know, and I understand," Maggie said airily as she looked around, she was growing hopeless. Sirius was holding Harry, the grim look in his face still very present. He, however, remained quiet. "But even just until the end of January!"

Cyrah laughed at her best friend's attempt. She thought Margaret looked somewhat like a child, huffing and pouting, as if she was trying to coerce a mother of buying her a sweet. "Etta, that is still weeks away! There's only so much time I can stay away from the world's calling. It wouldn't be fair to all those near mortals who are dying to see me!"
