1 week later
Ever since that first date with Daniel, it felt like everything changed. It was like my relationship with him decreased and I and Jayden got closer, it felt weird. Was Daniel avoiding me? He'd barely talked to me for the past week. I bet it had to do something with the phone call. Maybe he just lost interest in me. But no, he couldn't, right?
I got on my phone and see that Jayden had messaged me, I opened messages.
Jayden
hey
You
Hi
Jayden
Are you free rn?
You
Yeah, why?
Jayden
Wanna hang out for a bit?
You
Sure
Present
So that takes me back to the present, me and Jayden had been hanging out for a while. Today we were at the grove, having lots of fun, "hey wanna grab an icecream?" He asks me.
"Sure!" I beamed. We walk into the ice cream shop, and surprisingly the line was really short, with just a few adults standing there. We only had to wait about 3 minutes. I ordered strawberry ice cream and Jayden got a pineapple sorbet. We talked outside for a while,
"We need you tomorrow for backup," Jayden says to me.
"What do you mean?" I ask licking my ice cream cone.
"Bank." He chimed, there were a few people around so he was using code, the code for, oh my gosh, what.
"You're joking right?" I gulped.
"Nope."
"What if you get caught?"
"I won't. Not if you're there." He added.
"Is this some way to make money or.."
He cuts me off, "no not at all, I mean sort of. The bank teller knows who I am and I bet he's gonna try to sue me."
I lean more towards him, "so you're gonna rob the bank?" I whisper.
"It's a part of revenge." He says looking up.
"Nothing personal, remember?" I remind him.
"Nothing personal here, Violet."
"Dixie," I murmured. Did he seriously just call me Violet.
"I prefer Violet." He smirks.
"Alright, Hayden." I joked. His eyes made direct eye contact with me, "awww" I pleaded, "what's wrong Hayden?" That was the first time I've called him by his real name.
He didn't say much, "very cute." He mumbled.
I proceed to finish my ice cream, yum. About a second or two later I look at my phone, 7:42 PM. It was getting pretty dark outside. "We should leave soon," I tell him.
"You want to?" He asks.
"No, it's just getting a bit dark."
"We should leave at 8." He requests.
"Alright," I smile. The relationship between me and Jayden was a bit complicated. I mean would we ever date? I could somewhat picture us as a couple.
At 8:00
I look down at the time, 8:00. "All right let's go," I tell him. We both stand up and he leans towards me and gives me a kiss. Okay okay, it was more of a long kiss. It ended earlier than I had hoped because I was self-conscious of people looking at us. But still smiled to let him know I did like it.
"Now we can go." He grinned.
Gosh, he was attractive. He takes me towards his black tesla. I'm pretty sure he rarely uses it. He drops me off a block before the house because I didn't want people seeing him, and it would most likely remain a secret for now. I get out of the car and so does he. "Bye, Violet." And gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"Bye Hayden." I blush.
