Mount Justice, July 8, 07:22 EDT

Percy's head was still reeling from her break up only hours earlier.   She covered it well enough Dick hadn't noticed. She was positive her Father knew, but they would talk later.

She breathed in the sight around her. She had gotten here not long after the call, mostly to blow of steam on rubble or construction for their "new" headquarters. The Leaguers helping had gone off on a break for breakfast. She stayed behind.

She hugged herself tighter as if physical pain would block out her emotional turmoil.

"I understand you're sad, you would only be making it worse if you hurt yourself."

The voice startled her, not because it snuck up on her but because the voice came from inside her head, and it was defiantly not her own.

"I'm so sorry!!! I didn't mean to scare you!" A green skinned girl stepped out of the hall and into the kitten. Her eyes were wide and her hands were outstretched and waving around from side to side. Percy stared up at her with unblinking eyes. The obviously alien girl faced facepalmed. "Ugh, Hello Megan! Um, my name's Megan!" She grinned and offered her hand.

Percy took it and looked up.

"So we're both just going to ignore you used telepathy on me?"

The alien girl blushed or at least Percy thought she did. Increases of any color even green on cheeks counted as a blush right?

"Oh uh, sorry I forgot the the people of Earth don't have it. I'm from Mars, we use it a lot there. My uncle brought me here. I think you know him as Martian Manhunter.?" She rushed out. Briefly Percy wondered if Martians needed air if if Megan was just special.

'Oh, well than first off, welcome to Earth." The Martian beamed, and Percy smiled. "And second, I don't know the conditions or social norms on your world but on earth, where most of the populous have no powers and even for those who do. Telekinesis feels like an invasion of privacy."

Her eyes welled with tears. "Oh, oh I'm so sorry I-"

"Didn't know." I finished. "It's fine. my mind has been trampled over a lot already. It doesn't effect me. Just a note for the future." She nodded when Percy gave a teasing nudge. "But when it comes to villains feel free to go all out. Just with teammates it's better to only skim emotions."

Megan nodded and wiped her tears away managing a small giggle.

"O-ok. I'll keep it on my mind."

A comfortable silence settled over them.

"Hey, um why are you here?" Percy's eyes widened a fraction and her smile grew. "Are you..joining the team?"

Megan nodded and Percy pumped her fists.

"Thank the Gods! I won't be the only girl!"

Megan laughed.

"So, when ever I get sad I always cook or bake something. I was just getting out the ingredients. If you want, I'd love it if you joined." Percy offered.

Megan's eyes lit up and she nodded enthusiastically.

"I'd love that! what are you making?"
