Why is it always me?

I woke up to a voice telling me, and I quoit 'Time runs short. You must awaken. You must awaken now!' As I looked around I noticed two things, one I was in some sort of test tub with chains, and two I wasn't the only one here. I look over at the forms of KF, Aqualad, and Robin. One other person was in the room. It was Superboy. Robin who had just woken up made mask contacted with me. We both shifted our gloves and started to pick the cuffs.

KF had woken up and was glaring at Superboy who was staring at him. If we were in a different senaryo than I would be laughing hard right now.

"What? What do you want? Quit staring. You're creeping me out!" KF exclaimed.

"Uh, KF, how about we not tick off the guy-" I started.

"-who can fry us wit a look?" Robin finished.

"We only sought to help you." Aqualad reasoned.

"Yeah. We free you and you turn on us. How's that for grad-" But I cut KF off.

"Kid, please, be quiet now. I believe our new friend was not in full control of his actions."

 Superboy frowned.

"Wha-what if I..what if I wasn't." And he talks. Not that I'd say that out loud. But of course someone had too.

"He can talk?" Really KF, I'm about ready to slap you.

"Yes he can." Superboy said angrily.

We all glare at the speedster.

"It's not like I said it!" He defends.

"You idiot! You're going to get us killed! Shut up.." I hissed.

"The gen-morphs taught you, telepathically." Aqualad guessed.

"They taught me much. I can read, write.  I-I know names of things." Superboy replied.

"But have you seen them?" Robin asked.

"Have they ever let you see them?" I rephrase.

"Have they ever actually let you see the sky? Or the sun?" KF added.

"Images are implanted into my mind, but no. I have not seen them." I felt a wave of sorrow for the clone. A live in pod is not a life anyone should have.

"Do you know what you are? Who you are?" Aqualad asked.

"I am the Superboy, a genomorph. A clone made from the Superman. Created to replace him should he perish....to destroy him should he turn from the light." Superboy recited, like he had said It hundreds of times. Which he probably had.

"To be like Superman is..a worthy aspiration." Aqualad complemented "But like Superman you deserve a life of your own. Beyond that solar suit. Beyond your pod. Beyond Cadmus" he continued.

"I live because of Cadmus! It is my home!" Superboy yelled.

"Um..dunno if you noticed, but your "Home" is a test tube." I reminded him.

"We can show you the sun." Robin added.

"Uh, pretty sure it's after midnight." KF interjected. At my glare he continued. "But we can show you the moon."

"We can show you, introduce you to Superman." Aqualad tempted, wanting to help the clone.

"No, they can't" A voice piped up. "They'll be otherwise occupied. Activate the cloning process."

"Pass. Batcave's crowded enough." I joked. Getting a "Hey!" from my adopted brother.

The man whoever he was, chose to ignore me. Which in my opinion is both extremely rude and perfectly understandable.  "And get the weapon back in its pod!"
